  1. So, all the teams? I've never understood this argument. What's not to understand?
  2. The Bill Barnwells of the world that claim that the "record in games decided by 7 pts or less" stat evens out over time are full of [expletive] and have never watched a Rivera-led Panthers' team. They should fire him today

  4. Purdue is godawful. This was a terrible showing by Notre Dame.
  5. 11.4 YPP for Bama
  6. Akron extends its FBS losing streak to 24 in glorious fashion for sure
  7. Jealous. I've never been either but Austin is pretty universally regarded as a kick-ass college town.
  8. B) I could give a [expletive] if someone follows my advice, And you clearly do. Wekse's post is just one of several recent ones appearing to insult me for things that have nothing to do with NSBB, and I'm kind of tired of it is all.
  9. A) I appreciate that you care enough about what I think to seek it out on other sites besides this one and then come back here and insult me about it. B) I could give a [expletive] if someone follows my advice, but this thread is for advice, so there it is.
  10. In this case it's the one I'm in with the friends I see the most (and the only one in which we do an in-person auction draft, while all my others are online). It's also a keeper league and, as CW11 correctly guessed, there's also some financials involved.
  11. I like Nicks against anybody, especially when the Giants are liable to be in a shootout.
  12. Their new interface is also incredibly stupid, we've already voted to the keeper league I'm in through Yahoo to ESPN next year. I actually like the new interface now that I've gotten used to it. I can get to just about everything quicker than before.
  13. White Sox home and home in early May. That's going to be weird.
  14. I have C.J. Spiller and David Wilson in my most important league. Yahoo's projection system (which I'm really growing to hate because it always tells me my team is better than it ends up being) said they were projected for 28 points between them. They got 1.4, I lost by 10 points, and Wilson may never start again.
  15. The guy who is Berman called a third-down conversion a "convert" a little while ago
  16. In no way is this true. My younger brother didn't play on any fancy traveling teams and moved right before he started high school. He played all four years of high school, was first team all state, and lead his team to a state title. That other crap is a nice way for people to make money off of families thinking that their kids have to do it. It depends on the size (and probably the socioeconomic makeup) of the high school. My little brother is a really good soccer player and was left off his high school team basically because he wasn't playing in those elite-type leagues because my family couldn't afford it (they all but told him so). But my high school is in a pretty well-off area and has around 3,000 students, so they can get away with pulling that crap. None of the schools I cover where I live could do that, because none of them are big enough and several are from lower-income areas.
  17. I dont understand the rule anymore at all. Cruz made a football move. He landed and re-positioned/redirected his body and the ball to try and get the football across the plane. Johnson's natural momentum took in deeper into the end zone and to the ground. No football move. If you make a "football" move, then you have maintain possession through the entire process of said "football move" right or am I wrong? If the ball breaks the plane of the goal line while in the hands of the ball carrier, it's a TD even if he loses possession afterwards.
  18. Paul Finebaum made a sarcastic Tweet this weekend saying that Nick Saban would be in Texas 'as early as Friday', an obvious reference to the Bama/A&M game. SI's Web guys didn't get it, running a story about it. The link is now down (ETA: but someone screencapped it https://twitter.com/Uabtodd/status/377097163508969472/photo/1)
  19. All 4 NFC East teams are going to finish between 7-9 and 9-7.
  20. Presumably they consider the lunge a 'football move'? I don't know.
  21. I feel about the same way about Alabama. The way A&M's defense is playing, Bama might drop 50 on them just to prove a point. That would be a lot of return touchdowns. A&M gave up four TDs to Sam Houston State (and not garbage-time ones either). They won't need return TDs.
  22. They beat Indiana State 20-14 (while failing to score TDs on two first-and-goals inside the 5), and Indiana State gave up 73 points to Indiana. So yeah, they're that bad.
  23. Seriously. That's a joke. SF made it an academic issue, though.
  24. I feel about the same way about Alabama. The way A&M's defense is playing, Bama might drop 50 on them just to prove a point.
  25. The solution to stopping the run is to bring in Rich Rodriguez's old DC at Michigan? They did watch those Michigan tapes, right?
