    I don't know if it would be quite as fun. A lot of the fun of this thread was volleying insults at M4D for his ludicrous "sources", a luxury we wouldn't have if the rumor creator wasn't actually taking his "information" seriously.

    NUN, have you ever considered the possibility that most of these athletes come from fairly well-to-do families? Also, what of parents who might buy their children cars as a congratulations gift or as a joke thanks for not making them pay for their college?

    Before I say this, let me say that I want Cedeno starting over Neifi as much as anyone, and that I really like Ronny. However, Ronny will not be Lugo, in that he probably can't leadoff. He's a bit of a free swinger, so his OBP is highly reliant on his AVG. For the past year or so, his average has been obscenely high, but that's not likely to be maintainable on the ML level. Really, I was under the impression that we was very patient for a young guy making his first ML appearances... :?

    Can she play CF? Nah, she plays the role of Anna Benson. Except she's allowed in the clubhouse all the time. Keep morale up for Murton and Cedeno as Neifi and Mabry start in place of them. Except Brad Pitt already cheated on her so she is going to sleep with all the Cubs. This may alter their focus.

I believe the other posters problem with Willie was he's upsettingly ugly not that he's a Cardinal so I picked Carp. You should put up "whoever wins the most games from June through August is the automatic Cy Young winner" as your sig to match.

    Regardless of how Burnett performed before or how healthy he was before, he will win 4 Cy Youngs and have at least two 25-win seasons as a Cardinal.

    Since last year at this time? This year will be more anticipated than that. Last year you had another major conference BCS team that was undefeated, so it wasn't quite as decisive. Plus, I think going into the game last year the overwhelming feeling was that USC was the better team, whereas this year most people think that the national championship game will be very competitive. Wasn't USC and Okla 1 and 2 when the season started? And didn't we hear all year about how great that game would be? It was hyped all year long, just as this one was. This one will be just as anticipated as last years but I don't see it being more anticipated. Just my opinion though. This year is more anticipated by me, because I was pretty sure USC would wax Oklahoma. I think in general that game was just as anticipated as this one will be though.

    Dude, don't take it personally. If we got pissed off at everyone who posted a rumor that ended up not being true on this board then we'd just have a never ending volley of insults at one another. Feel free to join in our discussions, I can't imagine anyone here has any hard feelings. I know I don't.
