    Since April 20, Carson Kelly has an 85 wRC+. He shouldn't hit cleanup for the best offense in baseball.

    Here the thing about the Pirates, which I've touched on elsewhere. They have these three arms in AAA (they just called up Ashcraft): Bubba Chandler, 22. 12.5 K/9, Braxton Ashcraft, 25, 10.4 K/9 Hunter Barco, 24, 11.8 K/9, 0.8 ERA They have the potential makings of a great rotation in the coming years. On the position player side, it is incredibly bleak. The teams match up well.

    Has Gallagher added any velo? I know some draft reports had projected that he would, once he had major-league resources.

    The Pirates have 3 AAA starters knocking on the door, all with great stuff. Their offense is abysmal, with no real help in sight. The teams would actually match up well, but it would be incredibly expensive ala Bertz' suggestion above. Would be nice to be a game 1 favorite against any team, though. If Horton, Caissie, Ballesteros, Alcantara, Long got it done (it wouldn't) I'd have a hard time saying no.

    If he keeps up this offensive pace he is absolutely the MVP (unless Ohtani pitches like an ace in the 2nd half).

    The Orioles are about to fall to 15-29. They sport the worst run differential in the American League. Bautista underwent Tommy John and was out all of last season. His velocity is still down a tick (99 to 97), but his savant page remains elite. FA in '28. What kind of package would it take, and would the Cubs pull the trigger?
