    Trying to be objective, I'm doubtful about him signing here. I think they are going to avoid any big contracts prior to '27. In lieu of that, they made the big trade in an attempt to keep favor. I could see them doing something similar this offseason.

    I could see that. Alas, he does seem to have the kind of stuff that could translate pretty seamlessly to the majors at this point, moreso than a guy like Horton last summer.

    Wiggins day! If he has another stellar outing I'd love to see him get the bump to Iowa (or Chicago).

    I understand bringing Cabrera in initially. However, after he had walked Contreras on 4 pitches, given up a double to Turang and fine 3-0 on Hoskins before Rhys got himself out , I think going to a rhp to face the righty would have been a pretty reasonable move.

    And yet Flexen was brought in a few pitches later. I don't consider him a leverage reliever, I was just advocating for a different arm.

    Rested pen, why was Cabrera still in there? He was missing badly.

    The bullpen has been better, but why are we using ERA to measure relievers? Often these guys are tasked with keeping inherited runners from scoring. A difficult task, but a critical one that ERA doesn't measure.

    Caissie is 3-3 with a double and officially on a heater.

    I am not as discouraged by Caissie and Alcantara as most, if only because progress is not linear and this organization in particular can afford to let them keep trying to make adjustments in AAA. PCA looked really rough at times, even early this year. Those two are one adjustment away from being impact guys. Ride it out.

    Since April 20, Carson Kelly has an 85 wRC+. He shouldn't hit cleanup for the best offense in baseball.

    Really wish Carson Kelly would get moved back down in the lineup. This should be PCA.

    Still think there's a chance, but that last inning swung things significantly.

    Good lord, I hope he doesn't get any MLB innings. His best season he posted a 4.4 K/9.
