  1. Moises is criminally underrated.
  2. There is nothing wrong with Shaw. He is a premium prospect who needs a bit of a runway. This team can afford to give him that.
  3. I'll just never feel comfortable with a closer who doesn't miss bats.
  4. Don't love using Palencia here. He'll be unavailable tomorrow.
  5. Hell, credit where it's due, Turner hit that well.
  6. Still entertaining, watching this offense. Bases loaded, 1 out. Would be fun to give them a bit of a sweat. Unfortunately it's Turner coming up.
  7. You think Amaya would be bewildered by hitting 4th?
  8. I know lineup construction isn't a huge deal but you can't just throw Grandma in between our two best hitters. Sure, you don't want to throw anyone off too much, but I'm sure Carson Kelly would love to be in that spot for a night.
  9. One is a DH (for now) and the other might be the best defender in baseball. Vlad Guerrero, Jr. and Freddie Freeman would be 8th and 9th on the team in position player fWAR.
  10. Love that the organization has a 21 yr old C in AAA with an ops over 1.000 who somehow isn't top 100. The 45 FV was just beyond the pale. With Caissie, too.
  11. This sure is fun. The Cubs are good with a clear path to getting better.
  12. Boy, it's strange to feel this confident at this point but that's what Kyle Tucker does, I guess.
  13. I knew Miggy was going to hit that. Now if Turner does anything, I'll be floored.
  14. It baffles me because I believe that he could develop into something. He was drafted the same year as Owen Caissie. I would give the opportunities to the guy who could potentially play a role in years to come if everything else was essentially equal. We can disagree on whether that's the case.
  15. Does development or ceiling ever factor into these decisions? I know we're aiming at contention this year, but these guys are close enough in skill that it should be considered.
  16. Workman is the better defender, as well. He's 25 and has the potential to develop into something. These decisions baffle me.
  17. Don’t hate that Thielbar curveball. He seemed to be placing it where he wanted
