    I suppose the sequencing was the most frustrating part. The slight difference in contact quality just added a bit of salt.

    This horsefeathers game. Morel squared up the ball last inning, with risp and was rewarded with a DP, Wisdom and Happ rolled over this inning and both snuck through.

    He made one mistake. He's incredibly good, just has to learn to bury that pitch 0-2.

    LHH are SLG .148 against Lodolo.

    Busch's batted ball data is right there with Alonso, except he's younger and cheaper. Morel's batted ball data is superior, and he's also much younger and much cheaper. There a pretty good chance that they are both better hitters than Alonso moving forward. Why trade assets for that?

    Matt Shaw seems to be right again, which is good news. Wonder if he made an adjustment or if he was playing through a nagging injury or if it's just variance.

    Gomes himself looks like he knows his career is coming to an end.

    Amazing how close they were to taking the lead right there. Imanaga still out there is baffling to me.

    I absolutely think Morel is on the cusp of greatness, which I've certainly never believed about a sub-Mendoza hitter.

    I feel like this is the game that Neris' luck runs out.

    0 BB, 2 XBH, 8 runs. Kyle may be toast, but that's not too common.

    For the love of my Fandom, please do not trade Caissie for a reliever. The offensive ceiling is too high and he's too close.

    Here I was going to propose a long-term contract for Morel. The underlying #s say he's been unlucky (.377 xwOBA). Obvious power and now he's cut the Ks (21.8%) and started walking (10.9%). He's taken a significant step forward offensively, and though he hasn't been good defensively, he's made strides. Also, he's a ton of fun.
