  1. Yeah, I believe Tim, who created and used to run this site, was SanClementeFan back on the Cubs.com board. Personally, I was obsessed with Juan Cruz back then. To this day, I've never seen a fastball move like that.
  2. Would Bichette have to adopt the Nick Madrigal running throw? I don't understand how else that arm plays at 3rd.
  3. Morel provided the same offensive value at a younger age and has more team control. Bichette's decent?? defense is valuable, but it isn't Caisse + PCA valuable.
  4. I like Ballesteros a lot, but not quite as much as these guys.
  5. Professional baseball players avg. exit velocity leaders. 1. Aaron Judge 2. Ronald Acuna Jr. 3. Shohei Ohtani 4. Owen Caissie He hit a ball harder than Aaron Judge did all season. At age 20. Players like him are not produced en masse. Otherwise, good list.
  6. You have a much healthier attitude than I do.
  7. The one-game playoff vs. Pittsburgh was one of the best sports days of my life. The results help that, obviously, but I was as hyped as a fan can be.
  8. Hitting the ball harder than anyone in the minor leagues is good. Add plate discipline, proximity and age-relative-to-league, and you're looking at a special (and vastly underrated) prospect.

  10. Just re-watched game 3 of the nlds, Prior vs. Maddux . Prior was ridiculous, and I had to laugh at my own surprise every inning that Dusty kept sending him back out. He ended up with over 130 pitches, dominating the best offense in the NL. Would have rather had him for 10 seasons, though.
  11. I would give Morel a full year at 3rd. His offensive floor is established and he still has the upside lacking at other positions. A good team has guys like Wisdom and Madrigal on the bench. If Morel is a complete disaster, you have options in-house.
  12. Had Alonso been in the Cubs' lineup, he would have been 7th in WAR. Just for some perspective.
  13. Nelson Velazquez put up a 132 wRC+, so not every call-up fell on their face.
  14. Fields looked improved (beyond the #s) , which almost makes the right path harder to see.
  15. That was something else.
  16. Is ceiling not a thing anymore? Is Morel a finished product? Good lord, the kid has the bat already, with plenty of room to grow.
  17. They really look like they have no urgency whatsoever. There is a look a boxer gets when they have nothing left and 90% of this roster has that look.
  18. Dude with a 9+ ERA. No excuses. The Tennessee Smokies could potentially beat this guy.
  19. Odds Horton pitches for the Chicago Cubs at some point next season?
  20. There are things I like about this lineup. (Trying to stay positive)
  21. We keep scoring 1 and eventually they'll just hit a walk-off. I keep expecting it....
  22. Do not trade Owen Caissie.
  23. I will give credit to Ross for finally putting the two best hitters back-to-back. Over the long haul, not very important, but for a struggling offense, it could make a difference.
