  1. They currently have the 2nd best record.
  2. I am already weary of the resident optimists explaining how this was a prudent set of moves.
  3. I like Gore and am not as high on Horton as some, but I do not want to include him in that trade. So much team control, and he already has shown value.
  4. Under-performing guys over 30 everywhere!
  5. If I was in a Make-a-wish kind of scenario, I would probably choose to be in the room for the week of the trade deadline. The machinations of this stuff are utterly fascinating to me, and though I've heard countless stories, I still can't quite understand how these moves go down.
  6. I love Gore but it's worth remembering that he has been very good, not elite. His fastball is pretty average in terms of shape, velo, etc. Projecting improvement is not crazy, however. He's still just 26. He has two years of team control after this year. Overall, I'd say Ryan is the more valuable guy, but not by a huge margin. Cabrera hasn't made that leap yet, but I think it's coming. Might be my #1 choice if it means keeping our big names.
  7. Alcantara, Moises, Wicks, Birdsell isn't a bad package.....
  8. The cost is everything but in a vacuum, it's Ryan>>>Gore>>Cabrera>>>>>>Bieber for me. Now if Jed shocks the world and lands Skenes or something, I'm not going to complain.
  9. Out of curiosity, why no Gore?
  10. You're tired of the NL MVP hitting cleanup?
  11. Yep, same FV as Caissie and Ballesteros....
  12. I loved Tim and Dawn and just couldn't with the U.S. version.
  13. That Neifi HR swing makes me feel confident I could easily hit one out.
  14. This is a hot take, but there's a non-zero chance that Matt Shaw out produces Suarez moving forward (he has in the sss 2nd half). Suarez is 2 for his last 25, fwiw.
  15. I don't see Houser as much of an upgrade to Rea, if at all. If they just desperately need to cover innings, I guess, but I don't think he adds any wins.
  16. Again, Pressly gives up tons of hard contact and doesn't miss bats.
  17. He had a hanger but just watched it. That's his next adjustment.
  18. Chase DeLauter is 29th on that list, in AAA, a few months older than Caissie. He doesnt have the K issues that Caissie does, and they have nearly the same BB%. Other than that, Caissie is better at everything. The tools are louder and the production is better. DeLauter also has a significant injury history. To each their own, but if Chase DeLauter has a better career than Owen Caissie, I'll become celibate.
