  1. I think Hendry did well on the Perez and Nevin trades. Agreed.
  2. I don't know, that's why I put the ?. I should have just asked like you did to avoid confussion. I think they're both just arby eligible. I hope I'm right, but I have a feeling that only Pagan will be with us next year. Back to your original post... Mabry -- 1 / 750K Blanco -- 1 / 1.5M Ramirez -- 5 / 65 (Cubs) Pierre -- 4 / 36 Wood -- 1 / 3 + incentives (Cubs) Miller -- 1 / 2.5 (Cubs) Wow...shame on me, I forgot about Wood. I think your Woody deal is about right and very heavy on the incentives. I'm curious if those incentives are going to be as a starter or reliever or both. I think the Rangers are going to go after him big time. Do you really think the Cubs will resign Mabry? No, the re-signs I have marked. The others I am hoping and assuming will be signing elsewhere.

  4. Maybe he just hates Brooks. I'm quite sure a lot of Saints and Raiders fans do.
  5. Then you must be rooting for Syracuse because they are not in the top ten....I have no idea why. Wow...no Illinois guys out there, just basketball fans, eh? You're the 3 point favorite so far. If both teams play like they did last week, Cuse will win by 2 TD's. That is, if they can actually score 2 TD's...
  6. well...if he tries, then i don't mind that he's not very good. as long as he tries. He takes a lot of pitches but doesn't walk a lot. He must have about 200 K's, right?
  7. I think we still got a shot. Who's with me? Scott G.F.? Anyone?
  8. I feel dirty for rooting for Michigan. Is it OK if I just say "Go Big 10 (eleven)"?
  9. Graduated High School in June, Now playing baseball at Kishwaukee Community College. 6'3 160lb skinny guy. Scouting report" "quick arm, lots of potential, just needs to put on some weight." Throw Fastball 83-86 right now, my coach who is a scout for the D-Backs, said if I work at getting stronger I could easily be throwing 90+ next year. I could possibly be drafted in 08. There sure are a lot of "stat geeks" around these message boards that have outlived you by more than a decade, also played ball in high school, and went on to play in college. You are no more of an expert than any of the rest of us because you can't figure out how to supplement your experience with hard data to put yourself in a better position to be successful. Remember this old proverb -- Arrogance diminishes wisdom.
  10. Where the hell is the real Mark Prior?
  11. Yeah, but remember all the complaints about Soriano's splits last year? He seems to be doing OK away from Arlington. Oh definatley. I almost menitoned that in my post. But what works for one doesnt work for all. I still believe his numbers should be put into consideration. They weren't so out of whack last year. Home - 331/386/527/913 Away - 330/384/500/884
  12. They're saying day-to-day, and last I heard he will be practicing this week.
  13. Cincinnati will beat O$U. You can put it on the board........
  14. Sorry, I didn't hear you -- my team logo was in the way!
  15. Don't kid yourself -- the Cubs are the biggest disappointment by far. I think a lot of people were prematurely on the Brewers bandwagon and expecting them to do way too much, but I still agree that they didn't live up to their expectations. I also agree that the AL's biggest bust has to be Cleveland. I think Toronto is about where they should be, and well within striking distance after a good offseason in which their payroll is increasing again.
  16. Looks like the Saints have it wrapped up now.
  17. Must have missed it -- has Charles Rogers ended up anywhere yet?
  18. While it is entirely possible, we all have better odds at winning the lottery.
  19. Wake me up if this team ever does something. Go Falcons!
  20. Fixed. Sheesh, this has to be the most un-fun game I have ever had the misfortune of sitting through. Stoopid wife dropping my Sunday ticket.
  21. 'member that one time, when Dusty was the manager, and we were like totally playing in October? That was cool.
