  1. Suuuure....you can't make the game...riiiight. Well, I could make it if I really wanted to, but it's pretty obvious that this team is not worth a vacation day.
  2. Speaking of the 9/30 makeup game, what happens if I had tickets and can't make the game? Can I exchange the tickets?
  3. Do tell. I mean, I fully expect Lou to run and hide after this season, but sooner??? It was a lot of speculation, but the discussion was that Lou is very frustrated and could possibly step down as soon as the Cubs are mathematically eliminated. He said it is pretty much a foregone conclusion that he won't be back next year. Well then...who replaces him? Will they make a splash like they have the last 3 managers, or will they go in house and hire someone like Trammel? From all indications, Ryno WILL BE the next Cubs manager. That may be the case with Hendry in charge, but I seriously doubt that a new owner will come in and allow Hendry to have full control over another managerial search, even if he does survive the chopping block.

I really can't see Lou quitting mid-season, but if he did then I'm sure Trammel would finish off the year. After this year, I have no idea.

  6. So if Terry Boers' sources are correct, how much longer before Lou quits?
  7. That was the best they could do for Fan Cam in LA? Even the cameramen have mailed it in.
  8. U mean nothing good has happened since he came off the DL, right? Aaron Miles was recalled Augst 5, 2009. The Cubs were in first place, tied with the Cardinals wow just wow I've never hated a baseball player. I mean really hated a player until now... It isn't his fault that he sucks.
  9. I think Lou should be allowed 1 mulligan each game.
  10. So Gorzellany had retired 10 straight and was pulled after 5?
  11. I don't want to hear anything ever again from Lou about the bullpen being overused. That was a ridiculous move.
  12. Hey, at least he put the ball in play and got the runner over. Baby steps...
  13. What'd you expect with the great Joel Pineiro on the mound? Now if Smoltz pitches a good game on Sunday, then it is obviously not meant to be and we might as well throw in the towel.
  14. That's why he through his bat into the rack in the dugout. I know his slumps are very, very annoying and he makes a lot of money, but to imply that he doesn't try is a little ridiculous. I definitely think he tries at the plate, but doesn't look like he tries to change anything with his approach or with his swing I get the idea he doesn't think he has to change anything. Like you said, I don't think it is completely a lack of effort, but more stubbornness. If that is the case, maybe a full season of struggling will change his mindset a little bit.
  15. I think Kings of Leon needs to be played a little more.
  16. Is there a see through fence or is it really completely open? Seriously? Yes, seriously. I assume there is a fence there, but I can't see it.
  17. Is there a see through fence or is it really completely open?
  18. A gapper between Soriano's bat and the ball maybe.
