  1. They Cubs have not had a hit on a 3-0 pitch since last year. That's what I thought he said. It sounded so ridiculous that I thought I heard it wrong.
  2. I wasn't paying attention. What was that 3-0 stat?
  3. What kind of at bat was that Theriot?
  4. Apparently you haven't watched many White Sox games.
  5. Soriano's OBP creeping back toward the .300 mark?
  6. But there are dogs on the field. Everything will be ok.
  7. I wasn't opposed to re-signing Dempster, but I'll never understand why Hendry had to overpay so much for him right at the start of free agency rather than waiting to see what other offers were out there.
  8. According to Les Grobstein, Hendry became angry and walked away from him at the Cubs Convention when Grobstein referred to the fact that Gregg doesn't have "typical closer stuff". It's very scary when everyone else knows that, but the guy running the team thinks otherwise. Hendry cannot be allowed to hamstring this team with further bad contracts. Ideally I hope that he is fired as soon as the ownership transition is complete, but if he must be retained in a transition year then I think ownership should limit him to 1-year contracts.
  9. My dog took off running when I started yelling at Gregg... poor guy was just lying there minding his own business. I guess the same could be said for my dog.
  10. "Big league hitters do not miss his fastball." Brenly speaking the truth and not holding back there..
  11. Does anyone in MLB have more than 6 Blown Saves?
  12. That has been the strike zone all game, so at least he is consistent.
  13. And cue Steve Stone. "If runners got to first base faster by sliding, you would see sprinters diving across the finish line."
  14. I wouldn't put it past them to finish 111-51 after a previous loss is protested and overturned.
  15. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have nightmares involving him and sharp garden tools.
  16. I said it once before... Someone is going to get hurt. It may not be the person slamming the bat down, but I could see the bat splintering and injuring a fan or another player.
  17. It's hard to believe that a Catcher apparently has no idea where the strike zone is.
  18. 1 run on the board! Wonders never cease!
  19. Did he sign? Yep. $15m. Washington Nationals fans must be partying in the streets. All 200 of them.
  20. Someone please get that lady away from the mic.
