  1. I wonder when TECH scheduled KU a few years ago, if they ever thought they would be playing a team in Kansas coming of a loss to North Dakota State. Don't think so. BTW TECH ran SC State in circles.
  2. Last week of the regular season: Period 22: 8/30/10 - 9/5/10 Saber Metrics at Alamo Stealth Bazingas at Harrys Budcrew The Eyes of Texas at Northside Baseball NC Cubs at Kid Rodelo Sock it Thome at Quakers Galesburg Hand Sanitizers at Tootielicious Ron Washington's Dealers at Mighty D-Block Fuzzy Logistics at Habitual Linesteppers All the Dealers have to do is win to secure 1st and the bye. They hold the tiebraker against Rodelo with a 2-0 record. If the Dealers and Rodelo both lose and the Sanitizers win, then it gets complicated in the east...
  3. MP2.
  4. Now don't get that thread started again. A few years back Tim was claiming that he had the biggest Johnson starting for his Northsiders. And I believe his Johnson was Randy. That's what she said...
  5. I think you've got it. Texas could catch the logistics under the same Dealer / Budcrew scenario... You and Rodelo both have easier matchups in Wk 22, so this makes your guys match up huge...
  6. Hopefully my solid up the middle defense takes care of the spolier. Run prevention!
  7. The best part about it, the Cubs are 3rd in the NL in quality starts this season. Everyone, everyone said the bullpen was a weakness entering the season. And, it killed the team.
  8. i think you do...and so does ron washington or there will be a lot of coke smoked...
  9. This is epic horsecock if they say DJ grounded the club. Where was the rules official to deem that a bunker ?
  10. Need a win. Sanitizers probably don't agree though...
  11. Here's the schedule of matches: Period 18: 8/2/10 - 8/8/10 Northside Baseball 16.7500 at Alamo Stealth 77 Bazingas 30.5000 at NC Cubs 10.2500 The Eyes of Texas 17 at Saber Metrics 16.7500 Harrys Budcrew 17.5000 at Kid Rodelo 17.2500 Quakers 10 at Fuzzy Logistics 38.5000 Ron Washington's Dealers 33.2500 at Tootielicious 11.7500 Mighty D-Block 17.5000 at Galesburg Hand Sanitizers 34.5000 Sock it Thome 33.5000 at Habitual Linesteppers 54 Points are through yesterday's games. The Dealers and Sahx suffered a huge loss today with Youk going on the DL and probably out for the season with a torn muscle in his thumb. I've picked up DeWitt for the week and we'll see how that goes. I'm probably week to week with 3B's.
  12. Bay to the DL with a concussion. Moved Yunel Escobar to U and Swisher to OF to replace Bay.
  13. Only 6 weeks to go and the divisions are tightly bunched. Several teams can make the playoffs. Period 17: 7/26/10 - 8/1/10 Alamo Stealth at Sock it Thome NC Cubs at Harrys Budcrew Saber Metrics at Northside Baseball Kid Rodelo at Ron Washington's Dealers Fuzzy Logistics at The Eyes of Texas Tootielicious at Mighty D-Block Bazingas at Galesburg Hand Sanitizers Habitual Linesteppers at Quakers Huge matchup in the East between the Dealers and Kid Rodelo. Rodelo and the Sanitizers are tied for 1st, while the Dealers are alone in 3rd.
  14. Colitis. The Cubs have a history of making trades for the sake of making trades. This was one. I don't know if the two losers the Cubs got are doing anything at this point. As for colitis, anyone who knows someone who's suffered from it knows they are some of the toughest people you'll find. Treatment for some people is on the level of cancer patients short of chemotherapy. I'm not surprised Pagan is successful in MLB now that his doctors found him the right treatment. This is a good case of why the Cubs suck at a lot of things involving winning baseball games. They do not do enough before they make a move. They just make moves.
  15. My roster is fixed.
  16. I can't stand Josh Lewin. He is whiny and filled with cliches. He's a whiny-voiced version of Chip Carey. Don Orsillo and Jerry Remy don't get the credit for being tough on the team and critical of decisions while maintaining professionalism. People think they are homers because they, especially Remy, speak with a Boston-accent, but they are a good balancing act. Both know baseball.
  17. I've got a work trip to Singapore starting Monday for 2-3 weeks. Needless to say, trade proposals and such may get a delayed response...
  18. I let him know to get in touch with you or BigbadB.
  19. Delroy, aka, Vick is interested. Unless someone has already found someone who really wants to take the team.
  20. You might be better off just leaving the spot vacant. The Cubs are completely un-watchable. They suck and they don't care. I'm completely immersed in the Red Sox and their ability to lead the AL East with a AAAA outfield and 6 starters on the disabled list.
  21. You might get yours this week, especially if Kershaw and Leake don't deliver great performances. BTW, Buster Posey was finally called up! I know we've been through this before, but I cannot promote him midweek and drop a player to find him roster spot and then place him in the lineup ? Please confirm.
  22. Thanks, I'll pass.
  23. Nice management of the pitching staff, Sanitizers. With Sheets in there, I would've won the week.
  24. Geo doesn't hit left-handed either. I hate Beckett.
  25. Marathon Monday is one of the best of the year. Baseball, the marathon, a holiday, and a really nice day. Upton, Youk, Bard, and Scutaro are in this one for the Dealers. Neimann is a tough call because it feels like Boston is due for a breakout.
