  1. It's a good move. It doesn't block a potential blockbuster add if they want to go that route, or it allows Maddon to juggle/matchup Soler, Coghlan, Scissors, Almora Jr. and Bryant out there depending on who is available/hot with a bat.
  2. Don't like that he's #5. But welcome to the bigs, kid!
  3. I have my sound down. Why was Addison out on his at bat?
  4. So if la Stella gets to second and then runs back to first, how is it scored? Single or double?
  5. I really didn't think Heyward would even get to that ball. But that's not the first time I've been made a fool on balls hit to right field.
  6. A little bit of both. We met on a AOL chat room. Divorced and 30 something or other chat room. We were about 100 miles apart. We agreed to meet in a public place in case I was a psycho, so we met at Old Spaghetti Factory in Riverside, in the bar. I was there early, and Seinfeld was playing on the bar tv above the bar where we sat. I was not watching Seinfeld at the time. I was working 2 jobs at the time and the hours of prime time tv was actually my 4 hour window of sleepy time, generally. It did not bother my wife that I occasionally freaked out when helicopters were flying over announcing that a child was missing in the neighborhood, or that I would waltz into my nearest Blockbuster and cut up my BB card with scissors when they charged me for late movies that weren't late. I am psycho, but she married me anyway. lmaoooo this is an nsbb deep cut I knew you would enjoy that one, David! Had to spruce it up, because it's kinda boring otherwise. Although I believe IMB enjoys the Blockbuster story more than the helicopter one.
  7. Wasn't my idea. I had never been to one before that night. Haven't been to one since, either. Don't really even remember the food. I can make good spaghetti at home. It's not really that hard. The one we went to in Riverside closed. I think there might still be one in downtown San Diego, but there are way better places if you are going to go down there and fight for parking.
  8. http://38.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lrjkl1ZPF71qgiie0.png Haha! Close. Our most often cited celebrity doppelgangers are Jeff "Lebowski" Bridges and Sheryl Crow. You pick which one is which.
  9. I didn't remember it. My wife did. And actually, mine is easy to remember, because our first date was on same night as the final episode of Seinfeld. You missed the final episode of Seinfeld for a girl?!?!?!? Or perhaps worse: the date consisted of watching the final episode of Seinfeld?!?!? A little bit of both. We met on a AOL chat room. Divorced and 30 something or other chat room. We were about 100 miles apart. We agreed to meet in a public place in case I was a psycho, so we met at Old Spaghetti Factory in Riverside, in the bar. 10. I can barely remember the date of my wedding. I have declared all other "anniversaries" null and void. I didn't remember it. My wife did. And actually, mine is easy to remember, because our first date was on same night as the final episode of Seinfeld.
  11. My wife bought me a "Try Not To Suck" t-shirt for your 18 year anniversary of our first date. Yay! The UPS man just brought it to me. There is no finer gift!
  12. Hey, what's happening in here?
  13. David Ross' next home run will be the 100th home run of his career. Today would be a great day to greet this milestone.
  14. Bullpen is playing screw the closer today, apparently.
  15. North of 100 pitches, just gave up a baserunner (so pitching from the stretch), and the Padres best hitter due up who hadn't done poorly against Hendricks(1 for 3, no Ks). I like going to Strop there, I might have gone to a LHP for Wallace when it was clear Strop didn't have it, but that requires planning against Strop not getting either of the RHP out, and there's also still 11 more innings of baseball to play at least, so I get leaving him in. Yeah, it's probably more second guessing the result, but I did like leaving Hendricks in, because he was really in tune. The ground ball to Baez ends the inning if he gets to his feet quicker. The bunt base hit was not a sign Hendricks was tiring or looking like he was in trouble. With the bullpen very taxed, I was hoping to see Hendricks get out of the inning. Does Hendricks really get charged for that last run? Baez threw the ball away, so it should have been unearned, or so I thought.
  16. 4th time through plus their good hitters were coming up. If Kyle gave up a dong, we would have complained that he should have been removed. 1 fly ball out to that point. He gave up a bunt single. No reason to take him out there.
  17. Makes it easy to get cheap tickets to see your favorite teams. Plus you make friends with season ticket holders and score some free ones occasionally.
