  1. Way to take one for the team Heyward!
  2. That was kinda funny No, wait. It was hilarious.
  3. We now know Larry King eats ice cream at least 81 times a year.
  4. No need to apologize. I just think it's hilarious he posted something semi-bannable again to appease the masses.
  5. May the hardest hit ball by the Dodgers be a foul ball to Raisin!
  6. I quit smoking nearly 8 years ago and my anxiety level for this game has almost made me have a craving which is something I haven't experienced in many years. SCORE EARLY!
  7. My heart is already pounding furiously. My choice for the guy to be a hero for the Cubs tonight is everyone!
  8. Just went outside. 90 degrees. 3 more degrees to get to the high. Ugh. Luckily the humidity is only 6%. I gotta golf in this crap tomorrow. Not fun.
  9. I was referring to my own previous comment about the Dodgers being so bad against lefties. We mashed lefties pretty good this year. Oh I know, I was thinking along the same lines you were of Hendry overreacting to that Dodgers series in 09, just in terms of "theo is too cool to ever fall for that" What year was it that we needed to get more 2nd basey because we needed more guys who could catch the ball?
  10. I really thought they would overturn the call and I wouldn't have been upset if they did. I do understand why they didn't overturn it and I'm happy they didn't. And I would agree with TT that if the shoe were on the other foot, I would have been upset that they didn't overturn it if I was a Dodger fan.
  11. I think it's just that starters think they should be able to go as long as they would in a regular season game...they have confidence in themselves to work out of their own jams. It's kinda understandable really. Oh yeah. I totally agree that it was understandable. But he also should know that the one thing he could not do last night in his outing was to walk the first two guys in an inning. Pitch underhand and let them crush one over the fence. Sure. Putting guys on base without taking the bat off their shoulder? NO!
  12. I like how he was "shocked" that Maddon was pulling him after he walked two guys in a row without really being anywhere near the plate with a lot of those pitches.
  13. My first wife's mother was southern, and she put diced up potatoes in her chili and I loved it so much, I still do it today. You don't need a lot, and you don't necessarily even have to eat them, but the supposed reason for the potatoes is to soak up some of the grease from the meat and to reduce gas after consumption. I think the gas part is just an old wives tale, but greasy potatoes in my chili are GOOD! I usually quarter peeled red potatoes. I like them bigger so that it's easier to test for doneness. She was the first person to show me peanut butter on pancakes with syrup, and I still love her very much for showing me this. My ex wife? Not so much! She even converted to a Cardinal fan while her parents were Cub fans. I hated divorcing them.
  14. I get why they want to see it. Being up 3-2 is better than being down 3-2. Lester is pitching better than anyone else on the Cubs roster right now, and Kershaw gives them the best chance to beat Lester. Hendricks and Arrieta are right handed pitchers that the Dodgers feel they might more easily exploit with their lefty bats to win one of the last two games if Kershaw can win tonight. Kershaw is also better at home by a run and a half this year.
  15. I guess I can kind of understand the angle despite the final score. If he's called safe, its 1-0 with runners on 1st and 3rd with 2 outs with Reddick up and a chance to put a crooked number on the board. The pressure on the Cubs gains, perhaps they don't break out in the 4th? I don't know just trying to understand if from their perspective. I'm okay if they want to go back and change that call now.
  16. Oh, I can't take credit. I'm just sharing the name everyone seems to be struggling with.
  17. Rawdog? No. but it doesn't matter TT did us all a favor For those that missed it, this is the yahoo that is no longer with us. As if this post wasn't bad enough, he then had some less than attractive things to say about Rizzo, and that just isn't welcome here.

  19. Banedon did his job yesterday, now its up to you to get us within a win of the World Series. Are you up to the task? Wait what did I do? You know what you did.
  20. It's really hard for me not to go to this game tonight, but I'm exhausted from traveling. On the way back from Vegas on Monday, the wife was finding really reasonable ticket prices for all of the LA games. Just can't do it. Enjoy. It's gonna be another hot one, though. I'm happy that the Dodger bandwagon people stopped texting me very soon after the Gonzalez play at the plate last night. I'm not even a trash talker. I'm watching these games at home because my emotions of wanting to finally win a world series so bad make me worried about what I might say or do if someone egged me on personally rather than via text cuz they can't find me.
