Max Scherzer is throwing smoke on the farm, and he's just a phone call away if their bullpen needs a boost later in the season. This team has everything in place to be a threat to win the NL Pennant. Their bench is about to get a significant boost when Chad Tracy comes off the DL. -
Big props to everyone for their plate patience and pitch selection. I hope Theriot continues to hit well. I like it even more that Cedeno is contributing in his limited role.

I'm down big even though I'm having a pretty average week compared to the other teams. Looks like there won't be any undefeated teams in our division starting in week 4. I do expect today to be a big scoring day for me, so I'm not counting myself out just yet. Life sucks when the opposing team collects nearly 70 points between Todd Wellemeyer and Cliff Lee on one start each, no less.

I really need a reasonable explanation as to why 10am games are blacked out on MLB EI when the Fox game of the week doesn't start until 1pm. Absolute stupidity.

It was only a matter of time before this trade rumor returned. Boston is ready to go with Ellsbury full time, and Crisp's value is next to nil at this point. Yet, that won't stop Hendry from getting into a bidding war with himself and way overpaying. Considering Crisp's contract, his production level, injury concerns and his rank on the current depth chart, a fair offer would be Josh Kroeger and NOTHING more. Also, anyone see how crappy Marlon Byrd has been playing. Look out, Texas might lower their demands to "just" Matt Murton and Hendry will feel like he got himself a pretty good deal. :roll:

I don't know who it was, but in one of the NSBB leagues last year, someone would always try and makes trades like that, and when they would get rejected, they'd drop the players he tried to trade. It's like he was planning on dropping them all along but decided to put them out there and see if anyone was dumb enough to bite. And they would always play the hot hand and pick up whoever had a good game and drop whoever had a bad one. In the end they made like 120+ transactions. The trade offer above was made right before my team was scheduled to play his team. My team is beating his team 16-3 as of today. :D

I've become so turned off by the free leagues anymore, I probably won't play in anymore after this year. Depending on the severity of Soriano's injury coupled with Pie's inability thus far to adapt to major league pitching (Lou and Jim's views), I'm even more convinced that the Cubs will now overpay for Coco Crisp.

Neifi's ended a game, man. it ended a game. Point well taken. But, has Theriot been up with 2 outs in the 9th and runners on base this year? If not, then let's just wait and see if Theriot can match Neifi's historic credentials.

Theriot: "Neifi was a great player" I think Theriot is on his way to being an even greater player than Neifi. Theriot has already matched Neifi in 2 out bunts that end an inning.

Done a decent job of it so far, He's walked 5 in 10.1 innings. Yeah, that's not good enough. But, neither is saying he's done a decent job so far with just 10.1 innings to draw conclusions from.
