    Are you really this daft? I don't mean hate in the sense that I want him dead. I didn't need that everything needed to be said so freaking literally in order for people to understand something. But what do you mean by hate if not the literal definition? I can understand "hating" Jim Edmonds the Cardinal from earlier this decade. I don't understand how that carries over to now. wait, wait, wait. What's the literal definition, anyway? abuck equates it as being worthy of child molesters, and you -- trying to make literal meanings more clear -- can understand the literal term, when used with 40-hr edmonds? Just seems like you combined two different argument strands into one . . . and don't make sense anymore. Can we all just agree that "hate" in sports means something different? It's really easy. I hate the cardinals, i hate political oppression, and no clarification should be needed for that. :)

Jim Edmonds? *sigh* what a horrible day in Cubdom. *smacks forehead* To root against him coming here is one thing, to root against him when he gets here is another. And booing him at Wrigley for no other reason than It's Jim Edmonds, is even worse. I will not hope any current cub fails, ever. Because I'm a Cub fan and I want the Cubs to win.

We can argue all day whether or not he should have stayed in or not, but to try and make the case that Hill isn't having that bad of a year . . . and use last night's lone ER as proof, is not remotely productive. We might as well compliment him on his spectacular 1.5 K/IP from last night

    Being able to have those conversations is why Tim left Cubs.com and created this board. oh I'm not complaining in the least -- I've seen cubs.com :) I just thinking it's . . . funny. Just another comment on celebrity news worthiness, I guess.

Out of curiousity, what do you observe in "our" discussions that are troublesome? You may be dead on correct with some of your feelings -- about the failure of productive race discussions. But you're not likely winning any minds with that post.

    All three of the last years are club options? That seems strange to me. Why sign a long deal if it doesn't lock you into guarenteed money? So it's four years guarenteed -- how many arby years does that even buy out? Or am I misunderstanding?
