  1. Barry Rozner is a Jay Mariotti wannabe. So yes, he's trying to stir up crap by offering idiotic suggestions.
  2. Jeff has to have 5 and 10 rights, correct?
  3. There's no shame in being compared to the greatest rebounder of all time. As long as he keeps his head on straight, I think Tyson has a solid chance of developing into a player of Ben Wallace's caliber. He's been in the league five seasons, but he's only 23. So yeah, the Bulls are spending all that money to have Tyson grab every rebound in sight, block shots, and play solid post defense -- and he's been doing that of late pretty much.
  4. The Jazz could be looking to move Boozer. Injuries are a concern and he's expensive, but he's only 24. I'd trade Sweetney and Thomas for him if Utah's looking to cut and run. Unlikely.
  5. Like the time they traded Brad Miller and Ron Artest for Jalen Rose? I think Pax is right to hang on to his young talent barring any deals that blow him away.

Except the fact that he is the worst defender in the league at his position. Name me a better player taken in the 2000 draft.

I don't think Reddick's game will translate well to the NBA. I'd prefer a 4 and a 2 who can create for himself and get to the rack. Many share your opinion, but scouts had similar things to say about Michael Redd, who fell to the second round. We all know how wrong the scouts were in Redd's case.

Chad Ford has this to say on his blog today:

Bad draft for it. Deep in terms of talent, but thin towards the top.
  10. Why are Cards fans taking a Cubs fan to task for mocking the White Sox on a Cubs board? Because it was always the lack of those kind of posts that made me like this forum. So say that instead of responding in kind.

who and who? (don't follow cbb nationally) http://nbadraft.net/profiles/adammorrison.asp http://nbadraft.net/profiles/rodneycarney.asp I'll take Aldridge and Carney or Brewer. Agreed if Carney can handle the 2. ESPN's rating have him listed as a SF.

  13. Not a great night for the Bulls, but their competition had a lot to do with it. sure, but it was certainly a clinic on ball movement and floor spacing by Phoenix. The Bulls haven't played like that since the late 90's I don't think the Bulls are very bad, and there's nothing about this year's Suns team that makes me think of the late 90's Bulls. The Bulls are decent with a solid young core of talent (3 players representing the sophomore class during All-Star weekend), and the Suns are a very good team unlikely to win one championship, much less three in a row. I'm hoping the Bulls can split the next four games on the road, and get back on track for a playoff spot. Even if they fall a bit short, I'm looking forward to the draft and off season. I could be being too patient, but six titles in eight years helps with that.

  15. The Cardinals don't suck, but St. Louis does. That's why you live in Chicago, right? :D
  16. Even if that player is a guard? Somehow I doubt it. he guarded malik hairston a sg for oregon. He shut down Ager, too.
  17. One week does not a good season make. I hope he keep it up.
  18. 12 and 20 for Tyson in a 90-79 Bulls home win against the Wizards tonight. Gordon dropped in 26 in 33 minutes as well. I wouldn't bet against the Bulls making the playoffs this year if Tyson keeps it up -- not 20 rebounds every game, but his much improved play the past week.
  19. This thread has certainly turned ugly. Everyone take a deep breath, please.
  20. The Cards must've been using the invisible-man-on-base rule. I used to hit pretty well in front of myself during our summer Wiffle ball seasons back in the day.
  21. Jesus if they let him get away they might as well just contract the team. It wouldn't be a question of the Cavs letting LeBron leave; it would be LeBron choosing to leave. Cleveland will be able to offer him more money over a longer period of time than any other team in the league. If LeBron leaves, it won't be for more money. Seriously doubt it happens.
  22. I find myself once again in agreement with Rob Neyer:
  23. Next year's free agent class is stacked, but I don't think they can just save max type money for it. Probably have to trade young talent/draft picks for an expiring contract or something like that. I'll be happy if they pry Nene away from Denver (restricted FA) and get a top 5 picks from the Knicks. Scouts are complaining about how weak this draft is, but they do that every single year.
  24. Don't you have to use a certain amount of the cap space every year? I don't think you can just not spend it and save it for next year, but I'm not sure about that.
  25. Certainly could turn into an albatross at the end. Have to decide if first four years of deal would be worth it. That and taking a major talent away from a divisional rival.
