Right now, Noah's hands and post moves are better than Tyson's. I think Noah will make an impact his rookie year. His skill set remind me a lot of Garnett. Similiar size, too.

Figured this deserved its own thread with the tournament over and the draft fast approaching.
  3. Who was sick of him back then? There are plenty of Cubs fans that get on Aramis now because they think he's lazy. It baffles me, but it makes it easier to understand how Pirate fans could've felt that way. I remember some posters, while they didn't outright say the trade was horrible, they didn't think it was all that significant. Aramis was an oft-injured, lazy player coming off a HORRIBLE year. While everyone agrees now it was a phenomenal trade, hindsight is 20/20, and the trade wasn't that amazing on the surface at the time. I was a big fan of the trade when it happened because players who are MLB regulars at 20 usually develop into stars at some point. It went from a bad trade for the Pirates at the time to a horrific trade in hindsight.

  5. he did keep on barking from the dugout. funny, my tape shows differently than yours. You have a little problem stitch, in Sun nite's post you claim NOW you claim you have the tape and the Edmonds was barking from the dugout. Now lets get back to my logic question, if Edmonds was the one who STARTED the barking, then wouldn't he continue barking all the way around the bases? and wouldn't he be barking back at Z as he rounded the bases? So wouldn't the tape that you say shows Edmonds barking from the dugout also show him barking around the basepaths, yet you don't claim that. So which is more likely, a camera focusing on Edmonds trotting around the basepaths when he supposedly started the barking OR a camera focusing on Edmonds in the dugout afterwards as the game on the field is continuing and a live AB is going on? Every time you log in to this site, do you immediately run a search for Edmonds?

    Unless you're the Philadelphia 76ers.

I can see Thomas going one overall but I can't see the Bulls taking a 3 with their first pick.
  8. Deng, Gordon (or Hinrich) and the Knicks top 3 pick might get it done. I don't think the Bulls are any better at that price, though. As Garnett ages and Deng matures, that deal could look downright bad three years down the road even.
  9. Nice straw man. I think Paxson will make the team better this off season. Overpaying for a name player won't accomplish that, and Paxson's moves to date suggest he recognizes that.
  10. Anyone is trade-able, but I doubt it. But trading Tyson now wouldn't be the same thing as trading Brand in his second season. Chandler's unlikely to develop into a superstar at this point. My suggestion would be to hold on to them and let them develop rather than trading them for "legitimate veteran talent". Sounds good to me but the Bulls lack the veteran -- and often overrated -- assets that teams typical use to acquire developing players from other teams. I'm hoping the Bulls sign a decent free agent and fill a couple of needs in the draft this off season.
  11. Juvenile shots aside, I'm saying the Bulls shouldn't trade away developing talent just to add NBA veterans. Paxson has been following that path to date, too.
  12. Yeah, Pippen was gone the following off season anyway. Trading a budding star after his second season tops them all.
  13. Agreed. Brand for Chandler might be the worst Chicago trade of my lifetime. Worse than Artest, Brad Miller, and company for Jalen Rose? Yep, close but Artest is crazy.
  14. When do young guys stop being young guys? The Bulls have no rookies of consequence this year. Gordon, Deng, Noch and Duhon will be third-year players next season. Hinrich will be in his fourth and Tyson in his sixth. The phrase legitimate veteran talent makes me think of Jalen Rose and cringe.

  16. Meh, the Bulls have a better shot at beating the Pistons in the first round then ending up with two top three picks in the draft.

Nice mid-range jumper. He's currently ranked #2 on ESPN's draft prospects list.
  18. 1908

He's a freshman. Is he supposed to come out? He's projected to be a top 5 pick. I'd be shocked if he didn't come out.
  19. 1908

8 seed and a sweep by Detroit, mid-first round pick along with a top 3 pick. Yep. Not much difference between the 12th and 15th picks, especially balanced against additional playoff experience for the young core.

He needs to lose more weight still. He'd hit a brick wall pretty quickly in the NBA. no problem. He weighed 350 in high school and is down to 310 as a sophomore. NBA trainers could get him under 300 no problem (unless he has Eddy Curry's work ethic) btw, ESPN.com doesn't have Davis as a lottery pick. I don't know if that means they don't think he's a superstar, or if it means they doubt he'll go pro this year. Most likely the former. ESPN has Josh McRoberts ranked, and he's very unlikely to enter the draft this year.
  21. Poor example. Korea beat Japan 2 out of 3 in tournament played. And Japan outscored Korea 9 to 5 in those three games.
  22. Korea was the best team in the tourny, followed shortly by cuba, the WBC officials need to find a better formatKorea had the best record, but no way were they the best team in the tourney in terms of talent. In any event, I'm a happy man. japan was not the best team, (korea and cuba were both superior)they were fortunate the tourney was set up the way it was.i know ii know im being redundant but i sawthese teams live...did you?I agree that Japan wasn't the most talented team in the WBC, but I'd rank their talent level over Korea and Cuba. And Cuba also benifited from the tournament's set-up. I'm happy you got to see them play live. I wasn't drinking when I was watching the game, were you? :P

Barring a collapse in the final 14 games, neither of those guys are likely to be there when the Bulls are using their second first round pick. Carney strikes me as more of a 3, too -- and I think the Bulls are set at SF. Don't the Bulls have 2 firsts? yes, and if the season ended today, the Knicks pick would be no worse than 4th overall (with the 2nd pick at #11). http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/draft2006/index# yeah, but isn't it possible for the Bulls to win one of the top 3 picks in the lottery and still get the #4 from the Knicks? Or for that matter get the top 2. .8% possible, sure. :D

Do you think the Bulls should use the Knicks pick on Roy or Carney over Aldridge or Bargnani?
