  1. Mariotti agrees with you. That would make me uncomfortable.
  2. There was a huge disparity in game 1 but the free throw attempts in game 2 were almost even. If the Bulls aren't getting the benefit of the doubt on calls at home, I'll jump on board the bad-officiating train.
  3. Huh? Noch had 18 point and 16 rebounds. He could've shot a little better from the floor but 16 rebounds from your 6-7 forward is outstanding.
  4. Jimy is a troll? Tone it down or go away.
  5. Not sure what you mean by the latter comment, NJ had the 3 seed already by virtue of winning the Atlantic. I know about NJ winning their division, it's just ridiculous that the Cavs(or any other team) are precluded from getting the 2 or 3 seed just because they have the best team in basketball. They finished with a better record, they deserve the seed. If NJ had something to play for its last week, I doubt they would've sat their starters and lost to Philly and NY to end the season. I completely agree that the seeding system needs to change, but the Mavs got screwed by it, not the Cavs.
  6. Good stuff, BK.
  7. MLS average 1998-2005: 15626 NHL average 1998-2005: 13173 Why are you comparing average per game? Per game doesn't mean much when you compare a 15 game season and a 40 game season. Would you argue the Blackhawks and Bears are equally popular in Chicago because both teams drew about 500,000 during their most recent season?
  8. Did anyone else hear Gammons mention this even? Seems the source is a post on WSI only. Not worth our time. Well WEEI is a Boston radio statio, most Boston fans could care less about speculating who is going to buy the Cubs. The person that posted it on WSI lives in Boston and for some reason has an affinity towards the White Sox and loathes the Cubs (which is funny because the teams are operated in a similar fashion - save the winning). So he thought it was relavent to share. From the sounds of things on WSI, he mentioned it in passing, perhaps on a different topic all together. Experience has taught me to be suspicious of any unconfirmed rumor posted on a message board. I don't have a problem with you posting it, I just think the Gammons connection should be downplayed until its verified.

  10. I believe the Bulls win the tiebreak with Washington, so a 4-way finish would be seeded: 5. Milwaukee 6. Indiana 7. Bulls 8. Washington With the Bucks and Wizards playing each other tomorrow, I believe the Bulls can clinch the 7th spot with a home win Wednesday against the Raptors. So we should root for a Pacers loss and Bulls win and we'll get the 6 seed? If the Bucks, Pacers and Wizards all lose their final game, they Bulls would get the 5 seed. (Washington 1-1 over their final two games, beating the Bucks and losing to the Pistons.)

Thats dumb for 3 reasons: 1) We are already going to have a top 4 draft pick anyways 2) This is a very shallow draft 3) Provided we didn't win the lottery (and being one of the best teams left out, we'd have less then a 3% chance of winning) or draft pick would be 14-15. Having clinched the playoffs, our draft pick "plummets" to 16. Not worth tanking it for. I pretty much agree -- except everything I've read indicates this is a deep draft overall that is shallow in terms of potential at the top. That might've been your point.
  13. I'd love to see them in a series that they could possibly win...like the Nets. If the Wizards lose to the Cavs this evening, I like the Bulls chances at the 7 seed. Better shot at beating the Heat than the Pistons. Still a long shot, but has Wade ever had a good game against the Bulls? He shot 2-12 today. No Deng and no Curry played a big role in losing that series.

  15. Howard had 28 and 26 tonight? That's insane.
  16. Sixers fan?
  17. Sweet. I picked up a couple of tickets to the Bulls first playoff home game this morning. Feeling even better about shelling out the cash now.
  18. Are you seriously pointing out weaknesses after a game like that? Enjoy the moment. Stop rooting for that second lottery pick.
  19. 1908

As it stands now (and for the past week or so), the Bulls second pick would be at 16, not 12 like it is in that draft.
  20. 1908

Ronnie Brewer would make me very happy. I don't think he'll last that long. I'd be tempted to take Redick at 16 if the Jazz pass on him at 13, but he's not a great fit for the Bulls.
  21. 1908

Assuming Noah's telling the truth about not entering the draft, my top 5 best fit for the Bulls next year would be: 1. Aldridge 2. Bargnini 3. Roy 4. Thomas 5. McRoberts But I think ceiling is more important than best fit for next year, so this is how I'd rank and draft them: 1. Thomas 2. Bargnini 3. McRoberts 4. Aldridge 5. Roy
  22. 1908

The Bulls don't have a second round pick this year.
  23. 1908

As I said in response to jjgman21, I think Brady severly underestimated Thomas' potential. Not really his fault. Nobody else saw it either at the time. I wouldn't call a neck injury that should have sidelined him for less than two months an issue. This isn't a knee, ankle or back problem, it doesn't appear chronic because it wasn't an issue this year, and how often do basketball players injury their necks anyway?
  24. I really wouldn't call what Tim is getting a profit. Tim just changed the server to a more reliable server, which costs more money. In addition, Tim just sent $1,500 for a sponsorship to support the Diamond Jaxx. Granted, there were some donations for that sponsorship, but Tim still had to put up a lot of site money. For the record, everything that is done in regards to media is provided for all NSBB members, whether they are premium or not. I don't know of many other site giving that type of inside information for free. You don't have to pay the $50 if you don't want to, but the $50 is more to help Tim with the cost of the site than cool features. I will give you that. However, when I had premium, none of that was available. I just don't see the need to gimp standard forum functions for regular users. If you want to make the Diamond Jaxx stuff premium, okay. But removing the search function? Please. Two things: 1) Tim's not making a profit on the site. Not even close, and I find your implication that he's trying to pull the wool over everyone's eyes to make a buck insulting. You should be thanking Tim for his generosity instead of bitching about not getting enough for free. 2) I'm having trouble understanding your sense of entitlement. Is there a set of standards for free message boards out there that NSBB is violating?
