  1. Watching some of Jenkins breakdown, early throw to Rome was an under throw, was also very obvious PI. Which, of course, went uncalled.
  2. I think these are a few of the reasons why Ben said he didn't expect the offense to be really cranked up until December. All of these things will slowly improve.
  3. We saw what they are a GB machine with little to no power, just a smidge more solid pitching from the Cubs. And it would have been the Cubs getting shut down by Snell yesterday. Just don't understand the thoughts here about the Brewers being potentially better next year. While probably not being a bad team, they won't be better, what they did this year was a statistical anomaly. This whole idea of BAIP, wait for the other team to boot the ball, etc. is not sustainable.
  4. Fine. Wonder if the Commanders had such an alignment last night. I'm guessing yes.
  5. WTF is it with the announcers talking up Turang as baseball' best defensive 2B on every play? Were they given some sort of a directive by MLB? Haven't looked but, I highly doubt his defensive metrics are better than Nico'.
  6. Defensively? Probably. Offensively? I believe the Bears will trade punches with them and put up some numbers. What I see happening is the Bears becoming a team with a very dangerous high scoring offense and a very porous defense. On a given day though, if that defense gets lucky with some TO's, they'll beat anybody.
  7. Definitely, time and time again we saw Justin get obliterated on cheap shots and horsefeathers Eberflus just standing there, not a word, nothing. I'd gone nuts on he officiating probably drawing an unsportsmanlike flag in the process.
  8. It's an awesome contrast in knowing that, if given a chance, Caleb and Ben Johnson will find a way to move the ball when needed. Think we all felt pretty comfortable knowing the Bears would be in position to attempt a GW FG, something we almost never experienced with past Bears' teams.
  9. Anyone know what the Brewers equivalent of this site might be? Doesn't one of moderators/authors of this board do like wise for the Brewers? It's the fellow, who, every chance he gets, writes of Brewers superiority over the Cubs. Curious as what he might write now that his Brewers are clearly the inferior team.
  10. Well, even Troy Aikman had a rough time trying to show and explain it, should tell you something about the quality of officiating.
  11. I to had the sense the Bears were about to blow them out, one team most definitely benefited from bad officiating.
  12. Given Ben Johnson' attention to detail I'd venture to guess the Bears are appealing, etc. to the NFL.
  13. Frustrates me as well, in time he'll clear up the misses on layups. Can't blame him for missing on the crossing route to Zaccheaus, perfectly thrown ball, should have been caught and would have gone for big yardage, maybe, to the house. Screamed at TV on that one. By the way, WTF is it with NFL officiating and their general lack of calls regarding roughing on Bears' QB's? Given what was called on the Bears, there were, at least, two occasions where the Commanders should have been called.
  14. I'm counting the TD pass to Rome. It was a TD pass until the poor officiating made up a reason to take it away.
  15. All kidding aside that was damn impressive by Snell, total control. Don't think any team would have had a chance let alone the Brewers.
  16. I knew Wright being back would make a big difference and the Bears may have just found something in Benedet.
  17. Did Caleb inexplicably cause a fumble and throw a terrible INT? Also, who won? One-sided officiating and Daniels still horsefeathered it up, directly responsible for the loss.
  18. Way closer than it needed to be, only 2 hits for the little engine that could tonight. And yet, this may have been there best chance at getting a win.
  19. Time for Caleb to horsefeathers show up, they'll be opportunities he's got to start hitting on them.
  20. Did it? Okay, thought it hit the yellow line then bounced off his glove.
  21. What's the purpose of the yellow line? Did that ball not hit the yellow line first? In any case, it's fun watching Snell mow down the oompa-loompas.
  22. I horsefeathers guarantee the Bears would have been penalized for such a hit on Daniels. Hell, Sweat just glanced Daniels and got called for roughing the passer.
  23. Let's see officials manage to see Sweat and Wright glancing off the helmets yet, miss a blatant hold. That's about right.
  24. Brewers going with a bull pen game again today, sooner or later that's going to blow up in their faces. Ohtani and Freeman were relatively quiet with the bats against better pitching from the Phillies. That's probably not going to continue against a step down in pitching from the Brewers.
  25. Yes, although it was sweet to finally break the Packers streak vs. them.
