  1. Well, even Troy Aikman had a rough time trying to show and explain it, should tell you something about the quality of officiating.
  2. I to had the sense the Bears were about to blow them out, one team most definitely benefited from bad officiating.
  3. Given Ben Johnson' attention to detail I'd venture to guess the Bears are appealing, etc. to the NFL.
  4. Frustrates me as well, in time he'll clear up the misses on layups. Can't blame him for missing on the crossing route to Zaccheaus, perfectly thrown ball, should have been caught and would have gone for big yardage, maybe, to the house. Screamed at TV on that one. By the way, WTF is it with NFL officiating and their general lack of calls regarding roughing on Bears' QB's? Given what was called on the Bears, there were, at least, two occasions where the Commanders should have been called.
  5. I'm counting the TD pass to Rome. It was a TD pass until the poor officiating made up a reason to take it away.
  6. All kidding aside that was damn impressive by Snell, total control. Don't think any team would have had a chance let alone the Brewers.
  7. I knew Wright being back would make a big difference and the Bears may have just found something in Benedet.
  8. Did Caleb inexplicably cause a fumble and throw a terrible INT? Also, who won? One-sided officiating and Daniels still horsefeathered it up, directly responsible for the loss.
  9. Way closer than it needed to be, only 2 hits for the little engine that could tonight. And yet, this may have been there best chance at getting a win.
  10. Time for Caleb to horsefeathers show up, they'll be opportunities he's got to start hitting on them.
  11. Did it? Okay, thought it hit the yellow line then bounced off his glove.
  12. What's the purpose of the yellow line? Did that ball not hit the yellow line first? In any case, it's fun watching Snell mow down the oompa-loompas.
  13. I horsefeathers guarantee the Bears would have been penalized for such a hit on Daniels. Hell, Sweat just glanced Daniels and got called for roughing the passer.
  14. Let's see officials manage to see Sweat and Wright glancing off the helmets yet, miss a blatant hold. That's about right.
  15. Brewers going with a bull pen game again today, sooner or later that's going to blow up in their faces. Ohtani and Freeman were relatively quiet with the bats against better pitching from the Phillies. That's probably not going to continue against a step down in pitching from the Brewers.
  16. Yes, although it was sweet to finally break the Packers streak vs. them.
  17. Will the moves be as simple as sign Tucker and trade Cassie+other prospect for a TOR SP type - Alcantara, Cabera, Ryan or keep Cassie and sign a TOR SP type?
  18. Yep, Campbell, Banks and Membou were gone by the time the Bears picked. The whole draft went that way for the Bears, potential targets were picked shortly before they picked.
  19. I didn't understand that, you've just won a playoff series. Regardless or whether you're trolling the Cubs or not why would you want to take a picture with flag containing a big L?
  20. I agree, don't understand the logic of some saying sign this or that player until Cassie is ready. He's ready, there's nothing left to prove in Iowa, it's go time, either with the Cubs or some other team.
  21. I'd like to see Loveland targeted utilized more, I think it'll slowly come, while Warren has gotten off to great start. I think it's worth noting he's gotten the most targets and the Bears WR room is better than that of the Colts.
  22. They didn't face Snell, they got Yamamoto once, Sheehan (1) and Glasnow (2) are in the Dodgers bullpen. Other two starts went to Kershaw, who, they may not see this series. Save for Kershaw the remainder of Dodgers' staff features velocity and Brewers struggle with velocity. Look at the Brewers - Peralta and ? - their pitching situation isn't all that better than the Cubs. Haven't looked but, with off days, you get Peralta two starts? What about potentially five other games? Also, I believe someone mentioned FanGraphs gave both the Cubs and Brewers a 30% chance vs. Dodgers, appears others who know a lot more about baseball than me don't give them much of a chance either. Moreover, when the Brewers weren't facing Boyd on short rest or struggling/gassed Shota they scored 6 runs. Think that's going to improve against the step up in pitching that the Dodgers represent?
  23. Since ESPN hasn't released or made the formula for QBR public. I don't how you can trust it, any statistician will tell you, given the data. If one cannot replicate the statistic it shouldn't be taken seriously. Caleb' numbers >>>>> Gabriel' numbers yet, he has a QBR of 57.5 compared to 100? Leads me to the conclusion that QBR has a subjective component which means it's a worthless POS as a statistic. Makes sense, no matter what Caleb does, ESPN doesn't "like" him and never will and, at the end of the day, who gives a horsefeathers if ESPN "likes" you?
  24. Just out of curiosity I wonder who starts tonight for the Brewers? Their starting pitcher situation is only slightly better than the Cubs in that have one, reliable TOR starter compared to none. Dodgers have Snell today, honestly all Brewers hate aside, from just a baseball stand point, I can't even squint and see how the Brewers have a chance.
  25. Ahh, let them have their fun/whatever, in about a week they'll be home like almost everyone else watching the WS.
