  1. Why hasn't Mark Prior signed there yet? He'd be healed instantly. I thought the same, don that Cardinal uniform and feel the magic.
  2. My question is after the Cardinals win the WS, who are they going to get off the scrap heap to play out his ass next year? Mark Prior? Jeff Bagwell? Does it matter? They could grab the best HS player in the St. Louis area and he'd probably work out.
  3. Vitters' swing first ask questions later approach won't fly long for the Cubs.
  4. wut Thank you as well, you're better than a programmatic spell checker.
  5. Thank you, don't know what I'd do without your grammar checks. - Even had to edit this statement, should have ran it by you prior to posting!
  6. I'm still finding it amazing the Bears may have a WR corps the opposition is going to have to game plan for, no more smurfs who have trouble getting open and fighting for the ball. After watching the Bears defensive backfield deal with Calvin Johnson the last few years, it's great the Lions are going to get the same treatment from Marshall and Jeffery - it's about [expletive] time!!!!
  7. Where's Deng going to be? Is he expected to miss time at the start? If he opts for wrist surgery. Total unknown at this point though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I was advocating the Bulls bottom out and qualify for the lottery, with or without Deng the roster above is looking like a lottery team anyway.
  8. Yeah, I know. I would be willing to take him, probably gives you a better shot this season, if Rose comes back, then take my chances he stays. Worst case scenario is he leaves and you're probably not much more than a .500ish team for a year, then it's 2014 anyway. And you've got the same situation, minus the option of keeping or trading Noah. I don't think there's even a chance; if they did it it would basically be with the idea he's only here a year. If Rose was healthy I'd be all for that. The question becomes where would he go after the year. The Nets likely won't have the cap room for Howard unless they make trades (right now the 3 of Johnson, Williams, and Wallace will make 48 million or so next year by themselves). The Lakers, Heat, Knicks will all have too much money committed. As much as he may dislike Chicago, what other city would he be excited about in order to turn down the extra money? Howard can kick and scream all he wants, but unless he gets what he wants this summer he's rapidly running out of options. Depends on what his priority is; I know money usually trumps all, but he's really sticking to this crybaby garbage in terms of how few places he wants to play. Maybe he genuinely can't stand it here. I do remember him mumbling about the coldness in February but, last time I checked Brooklyn isn't a tropical paradise in February. He's the embodiment of what everyone dislikes about the NBA, a fickle, extremely self-centered [expletive].
  9. What is Paxson doing? He has a golden opportunity to bottom out, built in legitimate excuses, and qualify for the lottery to have a chance at adding another star for Rose. Instead he's attempting to build a mediocre, fringe playoff team, how is that going to get them closer to the NBA Championship?
  10. OKC will win, they won't wear down and they'll be able to remove Wade from the equation. Speaking of Wade does he ever take a jumper when someone' near him without kicking his leg out? I'd like to see that [expletive] get called for an offense foul - it's the correct call.
  11. If the Heat don't win it all this year one has to wonder if they'll win at all. As the years go on, due to their financial situation, what are they going to get besides older? Lebron is immaterial to me, Wade' the real dick in this scenario, seeing him go down is a joy to watch.
  12. I'd like to see the Pacers win but, I'm content with them beating the [expletive] out of the Heat - it only increases the chances they won't win the championship.
  13. I was pissed about the Rose and Noah injuries and the bad luck that seemingly only victimizes my teams Cubs, Bears, Bulls and Blackhawks along with being irritated with Sixers acting like they just won the NBA championship. But, I'll gain some satisfaction from seeing the Celtics kick they're now arrogant asses with Garnet kicking them in throat along the way.
  14. I'm not that upset, two starters out, a third one pretty banged up and yet they still could have won the series. Turner, Igoudala, et al may not realize it but, I think Dougie knows they got every break imaginable and there's a bully waiting for them at the end of the hall.
  15. Just saw the replay of Jersey' last goal - might be the cheapest goal since, I can't remember his name, Oilers defense man shot it into his own goal.
  16. Screw it whatever happens, happens, I'm finishing the last of my growler of Kolsch from the http://theredwoodlodge.com/ and listening to Grand Funk - Were An American Band, might watch more hockey than BB but, here's to all Bulls Fans - good Kolsch!
  17. Agreed. I don't see the point in trying to rush him back tonight. The point would be that if they lose tonight, he has all offseason to heal the sprain. I'm not suggesting playing him for 40 minutes, but if there are times where he can make an impact on the offensive or defensive end, and he's not blocking anyone else from playing, I think you suit him up if he says he can go. Or he re-injures himself because he's playing when he's still injured, rather than trying to gut out a win without him then having him actually contribute the rest of the way. There's no need to bring him back tonight, with a solid effort and something from Deng and Hamilton there's no question they'll win tonight. If it comes to game 6, I'd consider playing Noah but, upon re-injury we're looking at no Deng, Rose and Noah to start next season.
  18. I can't stand Phoenix because they're about as exciting as watching grass grow, their whole game is predicated on opponents making mistakes, they cannot create offensively. It's like the Bears counting on the defense to score (don't think that's going be required this year though), a cheap way to play.
  19. It's gotta to be eating at Thibs that his team has mailed it in and along way making a crappy team look good. Not getting back on defense, losing jump balls to guy who can't jump, Brand, not be able to defend Turner who does the same thing every time he has the ball that sh*tty little spin move, on and on.
  20. Comical the big stiff, Hawes, talking like they're higher seed and are going win Tuesday. Face it big stiff you were only a factor because Noah went down. Speaking of useless players how useless has RIP been? Anything from that POS and the Bulls probably take one if not the last two games.
  21. I'm Cubs fan - expect the worse, if they didn't have bad luck they wouldn't have any at all, I'll hope for the best.
  22. What's worse is MVP Derrick Rose is gone for good, when he comes back he'll be just another good point guard. Maybe we'll get glimpses of a great player but, I suspect they'll few and far between. Nobody knows this yet. It's just pessimism for the sake of pessimism. Isn't there ample evidence of players coming back from a torn ACL having to develop a different game? I don't know that it's happened enough to elite athletes to have ample evidence. Ample may have been the right word but, there is evidence of players having to change their games as a result of such injury.

  25. That was the first injury, I think. I've had enough of this, how about Turner, Holiday and Igoudala' ankles blow up to even it out. Mod edit: Using asterisks to get around the swear filter is not allowed.
