  1. Turning on the way back machine I remember Bill Buckner hobbling around but, I think he suffered torn ligaments in both knees.
  2. I was thinking about Rose' future as well, once surgery is done, does it fully heal?
  3. That's crazy talk right there. Their chances went from 0% to maybe like 8%. Well still get past the Sixers but their chances have definitely improved. Maybe so, just trying to put a positive spin on the matter, maybe too positive.
  4. One would think Philadelphia chances increased with the Rose injury, I believe they've decreased. The Sixers didn't suddenly get taller and more physical than the Bulls. Nor did the Bulls get shorter and less physical, if anything, they're going to play with a greater sense of desperation and harder most especially on defense.
  5. I'm wondering if, after he recovers, we'll see pre-injury Rose again, is he going to be forced to change his game?
  6. Seconded I'm sick of this f**king sh*t, cruel or not, I'd like to see Miami get f**ked over a barrel in a similar manner.
  7. Wow this pick has Angelo written all over it, at least he doesn't have an injury history?
  8. What evidence is there that he's good enough to play in Traffic?
  9. Smith was very good but, on more than one occasion it was failure to execute by the Hawks.
  10. There's a lot of talent in the pipeline, even in an off year they still managed 101 points, probably would have been closer to 108-110 were it not for that awful stretch. The sad thing for Phoenix is this is their best team and still they don't have a chance at the Cup. Nashville' not going to continually cough up the puck in their end, nor is Rinne going to let in a bunch of soft goals.
  11. I will take the under. He moved it to Friday in hopes that there will be news of improvement of Hossa's health, therefore increasing his opportunity to have a reduced suspension. Shanahan is a moron and the league desperately wants the Coyotes to stay in Phoenix. Why is a hearing necessary? What can Torres or Tippet say in defense that won't completely be refuted by the visual evidence? Shanahan' looking for a reason to lessen the suspension.
  12. Following along its also quite clear that Phoenix has been the beneficiary of absolutely terrible officiating - six men on the ice, Torres' hit, Toews being hit by Smith yet called for goaltender interference, etc.
  13. They kept showing his face last night after the hit. He seemed to have that 'I done [expletive] up' expression on his face. He knows he's going to get it big time. Looked like that to me as well, I don't expect retaliation from the Blackhawks tomorrow, Torres won't be there and there's too much at stake to goon it up and give an offensively challenged team like Phoenix a bunch of PP time. But, I don't believe it'll be forgotten, some time down the road, when the opportunity arises I believe the Blackhawks will take advantage of that opportunity.
  14. Guess you have to been Mike Smith and have had a near death experience to get that call.
  15. How in the world was that not goaltender interference on Whitney's shot?
  16. [expletive] CNBC announcer states Torres doesn't want to hurt anyone and he might have left his feet on that hit.
  17. That [expletive] has got to be done with the playoffs after tonight.
  18. Now let's listen to the [expletive] NBC intermission announcers defend Torres and slam Shaw.
  19. That f**ker better get a game misconduct and at least a 3 game suspension.
  20. I know Phoenix was 5 seconds away from being up 2-0 but, think about what lead to half of their goals thus far. Last night two PP goals both PP's as a result of incidental contact with goalie. Their third goal - 6 men on the ice - its not as if Phoenix has dominated the play but, stands at 1-1 because of some bad luck. I'm wondering if Smith' little acting job might lead to an embellishment penalty in the future? I'm certain the film was reviewed and it was obvious an acting job was going on so, I'm thinking the officials might be alerted to consider or look out for it?
  21. If the Hawks can take care of their defensive end they're better than Phoenix no matter how Phoenix plays.
  22. Hell yeah!!! The holding, hooking, slashing can only hold back talent, speed for so long, it's about f**king time!!!!!!!
  23. It's about time talent and skill wins out, I'm tried of seeing the Hawks lose to teams like Phoenix because of some inane turnover or 6 men on the ice.
  24. I like it, I believe when it comes to recruiting Chicago Groce and company are going to take a the hell with all the naysayers attitude and get after it. Cal, Self, Matt, Izzo bring them all on and let's go.
  25. Well the Thunder did beat the Heat and Bulls by double digits AT HOME and Magic Johnson said Westbrook is the best guard in the NBA. Therefore, on that evidence, the Thunder are the best team in the NBA and have reserved a spot in the finals.
