  1. It's gotta to be eating at Thibs that his team has mailed it in and along way making a crappy team look good. Not getting back on defense, losing jump balls to guy who can't jump, Brand, not be able to defend Turner who does the same thing every time he has the ball that sh*tty little spin move, on and on.
  2. Comical the big stiff, Hawes, talking like they're higher seed and are going win Tuesday. Face it big stiff you were only a factor because Noah went down. Speaking of useless players how useless has RIP been? Anything from that POS and the Bulls probably take one if not the last two games.
  3. I'm Cubs fan - expect the worse, if they didn't have bad luck they wouldn't have any at all, I'll hope for the best.
  4. What's worse is MVP Derrick Rose is gone for good, when he comes back he'll be just another good point guard. Maybe we'll get glimpses of a great player but, I suspect they'll few and far between. Nobody knows this yet. It's just pessimism for the sake of pessimism. Isn't there ample evidence of players coming back from a torn ACL having to develop a different game? I don't know that it's happened enough to elite athletes to have ample evidence. Ample may have been the right word but, there is evidence of players having to change their games as a result of such injury.

  7. That was the first injury, I think. I've had enough of this, how about Turner, Holiday and Igoudala' ankles blow up to even it out. Mod edit: Using asterisks to get around the swear filter is not allowed.
  8. What's frustrating is the Sixers winning and then talking as if its some sort of accomplishment, real effort there beating a hobbled team. I'd say their biggest accomplishment is dumb luck.
  9. Also they didn't forget to rebound, play defense or lose their front court depth when Rose went down. Moreover, was a 65% Rose that much better than a 100% CJ Watson/JLIII?
  10. What's really interesting is the Bears may have playmakers at WR, seems like it's been forever since they've had any big play WR's. Not only that but, tall, physical WR's it'll be great for the opposition to have worry about handling the Bears' big WR's in the red zone for a change.
  11. Most media (most especially B & B - they've collective hard-ons for the Heat) outlets keep blabbing about the Bulls losing to the Heat even with a completely healthy Rose, although we won't see it I'm not so certain it would have been a slam dunk for the Heat. Rip's starting to finally come around, a key for the Heat last season was ignoring everyone else save for Rose, Rip would have blown up that tactic. Imagine if James went down, would the Heat even get past the Knicks?
  12. I was hoping Marmol would get some more save chances and while doing so look good enough to have some trade value. However, who's going to trade for a closer who cannot consistently throw strikes?
  13. Turning on the way back machine I remember Bill Buckner hobbling around but, I think he suffered torn ligaments in both knees.
  14. I was thinking about Rose' future as well, once surgery is done, does it fully heal?
  15. That's crazy talk right there. Their chances went from 0% to maybe like 8%. Well still get past the Sixers but their chances have definitely improved. Maybe so, just trying to put a positive spin on the matter, maybe too positive.
  16. One would think Philadelphia chances increased with the Rose injury, I believe they've decreased. The Sixers didn't suddenly get taller and more physical than the Bulls. Nor did the Bulls get shorter and less physical, if anything, they're going to play with a greater sense of desperation and harder most especially on defense.
  17. I'm wondering if, after he recovers, we'll see pre-injury Rose again, is he going to be forced to change his game?
  18. Seconded I'm sick of this f**king sh*t, cruel or not, I'd like to see Miami get f**ked over a barrel in a similar manner.
  19. Wow this pick has Angelo written all over it, at least he doesn't have an injury history?
  20. What evidence is there that he's good enough to play in Traffic?
  21. Smith was very good but, on more than one occasion it was failure to execute by the Hawks.
  22. There's a lot of talent in the pipeline, even in an off year they still managed 101 points, probably would have been closer to 108-110 were it not for that awful stretch. The sad thing for Phoenix is this is their best team and still they don't have a chance at the Cup. Nashville' not going to continually cough up the puck in their end, nor is Rinne going to let in a bunch of soft goals.
  23. I will take the under. He moved it to Friday in hopes that there will be news of improvement of Hossa's health, therefore increasing his opportunity to have a reduced suspension. Shanahan is a moron and the league desperately wants the Coyotes to stay in Phoenix. Why is a hearing necessary? What can Torres or Tippet say in defense that won't completely be refuted by the visual evidence? Shanahan' looking for a reason to lessen the suspension.
  24. Following along its also quite clear that Phoenix has been the beneficiary of absolutely terrible officiating - six men on the ice, Torres' hit, Toews being hit by Smith yet called for goaltender interference, etc.
  25. They kept showing his face last night after the hit. He seemed to have that 'I done [expletive] up' expression on his face. He knows he's going to get it big time. Looked like that to me as well, I don't expect retaliation from the Blackhawks tomorrow, Torres won't be there and there's too much at stake to goon it up and give an offensively challenged team like Phoenix a bunch of PP time. But, I don't believe it'll be forgotten, some time down the road, when the opportunity arises I believe the Blackhawks will take advantage of that opportunity.
