  1. Why does it seem nearly every Predator goal is the result of luck or some flukey shot that happens to go in?
  2. I understand liking Rinne but the Preds are the most boring team in the Western conference. Or is this a case of "whoever is playing the Canucks?" Given they have little to no offensive skill their game of wait for the oppostion to make a mistake, score and then hold on is boring. But they are good at what they do, gotta give credit for that.
  3. I think they were gassed, the long break is going to do them good.
  4. I'll take OJ Mayo, team him up with Rose that's maybe even realistic.
  5. Was that Noah trying to literally take Deng out with an elbow to head? Or being called for 2 flagrant fouls in game 3? I think that was your teamate Mr. Granger you know - Jeff Foster.
  6. Yeah, I agree. Really liked what I saw out of Leddy, Smith, and Crawford this year to provide enough optimism going forward. If they must deal Sharp this season, they seem to have the talent evaluators to identify high impact players who can be used for depth and backfill the loss Sharp's offense will cost us. Can we trade Kane or Campbell instead??? There's also Morin, Kyle Beach amongst a few other defense man, Hawks system is just outside the top 10 at 11. That's where the depth will come from to team up with a core of Toews, Kane, Hossa, Keith, Seabrook, Leddy, Smith, etc.
  7. You got to somewhat pleased, sure they backed into the playoffs but, look what they had to deal with - the cap dumps, multiple injuires, Keith sleepwalking for most of season - and they still pushed those clowns to game 7. This is "worst" Hawk team we're going to see in next three or so years. Not bad.
  8. And savor it, we'll see an improved Blackhawks team in the coming years.
  9. Well all right!!!! Figured even a lineup as terrible as the Padres' was going to break through vs Samardzija, glad they didn't get another chance to do so.
  10. He's not pitching around anybody. He has no idea where he pitches are going. I really don't know why anyone would swing the bat facing him especially when 1 one will most likely win the game. There's no way he'd throw 9 K's before throwing 16 balls.
  11. Kane, Toews and Hossa haven't scored yet, I gotta believe they're going to break through before long. Maybe Thursday night is the night they break the seal on the net. Hasn't Toews been especially snake bit? Didn't he hit the post 2 or 3 times in Vancouver?
  12. He's playing on fumes, he can barely handle the puck. Don't know what it is but, it seems like the puck is always bouncing on him.
  13. I believe help is on the way over the next couple of years - http://www.hockeysfuture.com/nhl_organisation_rankings/?start=6 couple this with the Hawks core and we'll have a cup contender again. Many of these prospects were aquired during last off-season, it may not appear so now but, Bowman sold high on Versteeg, Buf among others. This'll be bourne out over the next few years, I think the Canucks better savor and throughly enjoy this one.
  14. They didn't do quite as well with the three ball but, man, how [expletive] bail-out three's did they hit? At least three were of that type.
  15. The Pacers played out their collective asses again but, did anyone think every touch foul was called on the Bulls the last five minutes? Whereas the Pacers got away with some mugging hell, everytime they double teamed Rose they fouled him four, five times.
  16. Don't know their cap situation but, with the Sedins, Luongo, Kesler drawing some big bucks I could see them in the Hawks position next season.
  17. I think Leddy can play as well, we haven't seen much of or from Morin but, he's only 20. While frustrating the Hawks will be strong contenders for the Cup in years to come.
  18. He's not going to pitch to you Pena, take the BB.
  19. Pacers played very well no doubt, Collison probably had the game of his young NBA career, they went 10-18 from 3, 10-18! Reminds me of a tournament game were the 14 seed shoots out its mind for one game. Just don't see the Pacers going 10-18 or likes there of again and the Pacers haven't seen Bulls' best yet.
  20. Seconded, we saw about a month of quality hockey and that's been it. I wasn't expecting much this season after the last off season too much to recover from.
  21. Dissapontment? He [expletive] sucks.
  22. Anything less than a sweep that means that the Cubs will be .500 or below through the first 12 games with almost the easiest possible schedule. I suppose you can call that good news if you want! Even with the Astros being a very poor team I don't think a sweep is possible, 2 of 3 yes but, a sweep no.
  23. Yep, base loaded one out and only 1 run seriously, does anyone remember the last time a Cub got a hit with the bags jacked to break open a game? Happened in 2008 didn't it? Really? You don't remember the last time the Cubs got a hit with the bases loaded? Actually I was being fictious, do remember Theriot hitting a GS in 2009.
