  1. As strange as it sounds does Arizona have a better shot against Atlanta than Philadelphia? However, Braves pitching is a mess, Cubs jumped on them and probably should have taken 2 of 3. Just don't see them getting past the Phillies.
  2. I really liked Neal Anderson, he was a change up from Sweetness in that he was always a threat to take it to the house. Once he got behind the defense no one was catching him. Also remember him playing special teams as a rookie first rounder and literally catapulting himself towards the ball carrier.
  3. As the OL is getting healthier and starting to gel I think Fields will get a little more time. More time hopefully means taking deep shots with Scott or Jones Jr. Really don't care about the score just want to see Justin continue to be decisive and aggressive, taking more steps towards being an NFL QB. On D, even though Cousins is pretty good against a blitz, I expect Eberflus will keep trying to bring pressure, there's no reason to stop blitzing.
  4. A bidding war for the overall first pick but, still be a position to draft Marvin Harrison Jr. would be the dream scenario. If Fields is good enough to pass on drafting a QB that'll probably mean a few more wins for the Bears. With their own pick they'll end up drafting in the teens, if they have the first overall. Poles could get a haul and still remain in the top 5 thereby remaining in position to draft Harrison Jr.
  5. Pretty solid bets, I believe he's going to have quite a few helpers, appears to have good vision and is good passer. Teams are going to focus on him not hitting the back of the net and he's smart enough to take advantage.
  6. Are the Dodgers done? I know Arizona is playing above their talent level however, the Dodgers appear listless to me. Their lineup is very dependent on Betts and Freeman, they don't have the depth of the Braves lineup. You shut down 1 and 2 and there's really no one else that can hurt you.
  7. Maybe a Morel/Miles as platoon a placeholder for Shaw? Ignoring the financial part for a moment, I believe Shaw is going to climb pretty quickly through the system and be knocking at the door at some point in 2024.
  8. I really don't know how to deal with a Bears GM being on the plus side of an apparent fleecing. It's got to be against the rules or something. To even suggest Poles was smart enough to realize by taking away the only weapon from a rookie QB would all but guarantee a top 5 2024 pick is almost genius.
  9. You had to know that week 1 against the Benny Hill Show Bears was a false positive. A high school QB could have gone out there and had a day.
  10. The beauty of it is the Packers are not bad enough to get anywhere near Williams or Maye. So, if the current trend continues they'll be drafting a second tier QB and I'm not that all convinced they're good at developing QB's- current coaching staff. Welcome to beginnings of QB and mediocrity hell Green Bay.
  11. He usually has all kinds of time to throw, I'd be in the Maye camp. Maye has had less time throw and has been forced to go threw his progressions quickly plus he's a legit 6-3, 6-4 whereas, Williams is 6-0.
  12. I don't believe so, Poles has a type and little guys such as Young aren't his type.
  13. Probably so. Getsy taking 4 games to figure out it's worthwhile to keep targeting Moore is about right though.
  14. The sticking point for me is he's, for today' NFL QB, a midget, open throwing lanes are difficult for him. We can say whatever, about Poles however, I'm certain he wasn't sold on any of the QB's and that's why he didn't hold the top pick and draft one. So far, with the exception Stroud, looks as if he was correct. I could see a path were Fields has a big year and Poles trades him to get into position for Williams or Maye.
  15. Read that Fields suggested to Getsy to up the targets for Moore? It was Sports Mockery so, take it for its worth, however, given what we have seen, its not implausible. Fields to Getsy - maybe we should increase the targets to DJ. Fields to teammates - that dumb MF'er.
  16. Jenkins consistently playing equals an uptick in line play, on some of the analysis he's mauling people, including guys like Chase Young. Saw Wright stuff either Payne or Allen a few times, love it.
  17. Vikings game could be fun, if the current version of Fields shows up could be a game decided by whomever has the ball last.
  18. I give Poles credit for stepping up and taking ownership of the Claypool trade. Idea was correct, player was incorrect, next time, as mentioned above, do a better scouting job.
  19. I'm surprised they got anything for him, appears to be a team/locker room cancer. Might change for a bit in Miami, won't last. What's really annoying is he's probably going to trash the Bears, all of this was completely on him. First game dogs it, Eberflus tells him to up the effort, gives him a couple of chances and he still doesn't put forth anything.
  20. Going forward it's going to be throw the ball to Moore, hopefully, at some point, Mooney will be able to take advantage of extra attention that's going to pushed to be Moore. Over the mini-bye the defenses' adjustment to Fields is going to be trying to take Moore out of the equation. Doing so should open up running lanes for Fields and the backs along with leaving Mooney, Kmet, Tonyan with favorable match ups.
  21. Along with mobility, Poles has a type, with Wright it appears to be working. We also heard Dexter' name yesterday, it's coming.
  22. Harrison all the way, imagine if this play from Fields is real, what him and Moore could do, quite probably things we've never seen from a Bears offense.
  23. Really like Jenkins being back, hope he can stay on the field because he's mauler who makes a difference. Can't help but like the bookends of Wright and Jenkins, saw a clip on X, Fields keeper and Wright knocks down a DB like he was a bowling pin.
  24. True enough, I'm cautiously optimistic, we'll see if he continues forward.
  25. Remove the false positive against the Bears and Jordan Love is not so good. Yeah, I'm gloating but, early on, all the talk of Farve to Rodgers to Love in string of franchise GB franchise QB's was getting nauseating.
