  1. Or trade candidates. It seems to me that they are going to have to package some of these dudes at some point. They are bottled up.
  2. Just judging on post-pandemic rosters (not necessarily the Cubs), AAA is now filled with retreads, roster stashes, and hangers on. The real talent seems to be AA. Guys who are true prospects are not spending a lot of time hanging out in AAA. If Shaw gets moved to AA, I don't think he's going to spend a lot time there.
  3. NSBB is back baby! Pedantry is a beautiful thing! I like Hicks and don't mind the price tag. I think the Cubs probably disagree.
  4. Yes, he may go 1.1 depending on who gets the pick. I could see a team trading up to get him. He's that good.
  5. I have high hopes for this kid. I worry about an arm injury. again.
  6. If Shaw stays on trajectory I would not be the least bit surprised if he's starting at 3B around or after the ASB. It's more aggressive than usual for the Cubs, but they appear to be balls out right now (get your mind out of the gutter, I'm talking about a steam engine). Madrigal might start, but at some point in the cold spring, he's going to have a leg issue. Also, LOL, Madrigal's noodle arm and windup throw to third preclude him from any consideration for a gold glove. He's not a 3rd baseman.
  7. It's called the Soriano Method (TM).
  8. who knows, but he plays better defense and he's going to produce more runs.
  9. I thought it was from the running backs coach they fired.
  10. It's a pie-shaped disk!!!! The truth hurts. Sheeple
  11. what are the leaks?
  12. That is a strong, doom boner post. My prediction is that the Bears are in the game but lose by a touchdown. Fields looks like Fields, which is to say, he holds the ball too long and somewhat makes up for it with his scrambling ability. Maybe has a few long passes to Moore, maybe a touchdown or two. But clearly, he isn't getting better. The defense holds the Lions down enough that it's a lower scoring game.
  13. He's a better and more useful player than Happ is right now.
  14. Giving Happ that extension and NTC looks worse and worse every day.
  15. lol, what happens when you two dorks never make it to your goal? This bet could go on until AI finally takes over.
  16. I think I'd like to see Arias on the 40-man, but if they view him as a relief pitcher long-term, then no. Give him one more season as a starter.
  17. Perfect use of the Seinfeld reference
  18. You. —- moving on. Alabama appears to have found their QB. But I’m not so sure he can run them to a National title. For a few weeks I thought FSU was the best team besides Michigan, but a mediocre Miami gave them fits. They can be passed on. Washington was also pretty good. I still think Washington, FSU, and Michigan are the three best teams, but it is pretty wide open. Alabama, Georgia, and OSU are below them.
  19. Sounds like his agent is using the press to negotiate.
  20. The difference in the game is that PSU is a second tier team. Michigan could have beat them any number of ways. They chose to bludgeon them to death.
  21. PSU QB is awful.
  22. Michigan is going to inside handoff their way to a field goal
  23. Don’t be homer, love the school, hate the sin.
  24. They are going to destroy PSU. It won’t matter if he’s on the sidelines or not.
