Unless its hit right at Walker or Kent a gb to their side of infield has 50/50 chance of making it to RF.

Only concearn i have about all this is where does cedeno fit in?. behind perez at 2nd???. If he was going to be 1st choice 2B why has he played no winter ball there

FWIW, George Ofman just mentioned that the Cubs have some interest in Brad Wilkerson.

 

And my plan gets closer and closer to being a reality.

LA's owner sucks. He doesn't want to spend money whereas Anaheim has offered Konerko 5 and 60.

LA's not going to give up an asset for nothing in return. Am not a big Walker big, so decent deal. Wouldn't be surprised to see Soriano @ 2nd though.

 

But the Dodgers have to decide whether to offer Bradley arbitration. If they do, they might be on the hook for a salary that a) they don't want to pay and b) a contract they can't get rid of. The Cubs would be trading Walker to make the Dodgers' decision easier and to avoid competing for Bradley on the open market. That seems like a high price. But it fits with Hendry's seeming impatience to sign the two middle relievers.

Now, I have never met any of the current Cubs, but they seem like a laid back kind of group. In LA, Bradley and Kent didn't get along. Kent, however, had problems in SF with Bonds, and had the "truck washing" accident. What if the problems Bradley had were because Kent was a jerk? Again, I don't see anyone on the current Cubs who would be like that, but I could be wrong. Add this to the fact, our manager is suited for a guy like Bradley and I think it is a perfect fit for the Cubs.
