Mizzou gets the crap kicked out of them at home by Iowa St. Just dismal on all accounts. For those curious, Snyder got T'ed up partway through the second half(to give you an idea of the officiating, both teams were in the double bonus before the 10:00 mark), then got another T right before the end of the game.

Leaving at half was one of the best moves I ever made.

I lasted all the way to the 4:00 timeout. The 7th or 8th pass over the player's reach out of bounds pushed me over the edge.

in other news, WVU fresh off winning at UCLA loses at home to Marshall. yea, Marshall.

Just when I was about to launch my "Seton Hall beat the crap out of NC State in Raleigh so it's quite obvious the Big East is much better than the ACC" salvo...

I remember last year Ball State was 9-0 at home going into the Marshall game and I believe the Herd had two wins, but the referees proceeded to give every judgment call to Marshall plus calling about twice as many fouls on us as them, and we lost the game by nine. I was a very unhappy guy that day.

If you like college basketball, this will be your favorite site ever.

Thanks TT, this is a great site!

MAC fans, keep an eye on this kid. 15 games into his career and he's already one of the best point men in the league. Numbers don't tell the story of how he finds holes in the defense no one else can that I've seen. And the fact that he's 5 foot 8 and looks exactly like Bow Wow is only a bonus. :D

So much for Ball State being hot. They lost tonight 68-59 to WMU to blow a shot at staying in the thick of the divisional race. Pretty much eliminates them from the possibility of getting into the top 2 and getting that bye to Cleveland.

Note: First-place Northern Illinois would be in SIXTH in the MAC East. Wow.

so the MAC West winner will get the #2 seed then in the MAC Tourny? Interesting...

UCLA somehow beats Oregon in Eugene despite another off shooting night from Arron Afflalo and awful officiating (the shot clock broke in consecutive Oregon possessions and the refs didn't stop play - Oregon got 45 seconds each possession to take a shot and they scored both times).

Most importantly, Cedric Bozeman, who just two weeks ago was thought to be out for the season, returned and played some valuable minutes.

Cal beat Washington, so UCLA has taken over sole possession of first place in the Pac 10.

I'm curious to see how long Alden will stay with Snyder. I'll say the same thing I said when Snyder was hired..... how many wannabe top tier programs hire a guy who has never been a head coach at any level? Any truth to the rumor that Snyder is dating Paige Laurie? I heard that before I left St. Louis.

I've heard a bunch of rumors, from him dating Kleiza's girlfriend, to being hooked on cocaine.

As some folks on Tigerboard concluded, the loss Wednesday was on the players. Snyder got T'ed up and was pushing players around in the huddle trying to get them fired up, but they just didn't respond at all. Saturday needs to be better, otherwise the optimism and confidence created by the winning streak and the kU win will be for naught.

Well, KU hired Roy Williams w/ no head coaching exp, but your point stands. It probably makes sense to get a "proven" guy (Dusty alert) if you can.

I have a very good source that says the Rick Majerus rumors weren't that far-fetched.

Good. If they do fire Snyder, Majerus is the guy I want, as long as you have some semblance of reliability with his health. I can't say I was too thrilled when I heard Bob Huggins' name thrown around.

God I hope KSU can go into Colorado tonight and get a win... I'm not counting on it, but it sure would be nice!

Well, once again, Mizzou loses to a team they probably had no business losing to. Don't get me wrong, I hate Mizzou almost, almost as much as I hate the Cardinals, but I'm frustrated with talented players underachieving with Boy Wonder at the helm. I'm glad Tommy Ammaker's team is doing fine otherwise Snyder may make it harder for any other Duke assistant to get a job. As I said when Ammaker left Seton Hall for Michigan, his teams will do fine. It seems the NCAA infractions are now behind them so he's getting players and developing them. Something Snyder seems to have little concept of. By the way, it seems KU has finally learned to shoot the ball. They look like they're ready to go on a nice run. Winning in Ames isn't an easy thing to do.

I listened to the game on the radio on the drive to and from Jefferson City earlier, and from what I could tell, the team had no concept of fundamentals. Way to go, Quin! Oh well, at least he still has his pile of cocaine to go home to.

Unless you are Texas, or the opponent is Baylor, there's no team in the Big 12 that can say they "have no buisness losing to" on the road. The teams are just too close to each other. If Texas wins tonight, there's only going to be two teams besides them with less than 3 conference losses. That's 8 teams hodgepodged with 3 or 4 conference losses.

That said, the last 3 games have sucked for Mizzou. Hopefully they can get up for the Texas game.

I thought this was going to be a thread about the Andrew Lloyd Weber musical... :x

We can turn it into that if you'd wish! :)

Actually I hit reply to the college bball thread, and somehow got my own thread... or at least I thought i did....

(6) Villanova 72, Notre Dame 70 - after a 22-4 run got ND back into the game late.

6 losses in conference - 22 points total (4 overtimes played).

How snakebitten can one team be?

After looking at the schedules I don't really care who wins, I just wish evil upon Cartier Martin and Richard Roby.
