Bears win!

But thanks to the Giants, looks like they won't gain any ground on the Vikings.

They do gain ground on the Giants for home field, though.

its not over yet...the Giants have played a god awful game yet they still have a chance to win.

This is funny only because it was taken while they were watching the replay of the FG return on the big screen:

1st and goal with 1:25 left and they spike the ball. I would say they were trying to lose, but they just put it in for the score.

2-point conversion time.

stupid giants. On the other hand, the bears are 6-3

And tied with the Giants at 6-3. If the Pack (fat chance, but they're up 14-0), Rams, and Jets (fat chance) can win, we'll be tied for the best record in the conference..

Of course, it probably won't matter once they hit the tougher part of the schedule, but you never know.

If we can secure a first round bye, we'd have better odds of lucking into the SB...

EDIT - also, as it gets later in the season, maintaining the lead is almost a victory in itself...Obviously, it'll get tougher and tougher to make up 2 games as we go deeper. I hope/expect we'll get to that New Year's game with more than a one game lead on the Vikes.

next week begins the tough stretch for the Bears. We'll see how they come out against a good team like Carolina. The Bears have done what they needed to do though..beat the teams that they have to beat (with the exception of Cleveland). If they win 3 of their final 7, they have the division.

Wow, Edinger is good. Vikes lead it 24-21 with :10 left.

Edinger sucks. Sure, he makes one but he missed the first two then almost cost them when he kicked the ball out of bounds. I'm gald that he's not on the team anymore.

If the Pack and Panthers win we're all by ourselves for the top seed. Then a win over the Bears would make Atlanta the only logical competitor with us for home field.

We could be in control of the entire conference in two weeks...or we could be in a wild card hunt. Big stretch.

I meant the kick was good. Believe me, I know about his suckage, I was sure he was going to miss.

Yep. I just wish they could go into that stretch with Rex taking the snaps. I think Orton is going to get exposed again against a good team like Carolina, just like he was against Cincy.

Any chance Rex is off the inactive list for the TB game still, or is it pretty much looking like Green Bay?

Since it looks like the Bears will need a 3rd HB, Thomas was signed last Tuesday by NO. The best avail. is Amos Zereoue who was relased recently by the Pats.

ATrain wouldnt come back here anyways. The bridges have been burned both ways.

Maybe they should suit Vasher up at HB ? He already has a number in the 30's.

The Bears are the NFL equivalent of the White Sox.

Pickett's line: 1-13 for 28 yards and 1 int.

4 lost fumbles on punts.

under 100 total passing yards in the game.

Wow, that game made all the other games this season less ugly.

Ummm...wow.

I knew Bears games were ugly, but that's like a whole new level.
