I wonder if Detroit could make a couple more 3 pointers in the second half. The 10 of 11(at least half of those being bad shots/well defended) they hit in the first half didn't quite do it for me.

Detroit is looking dominant, again. (against a pretty good offensive team, to boot)

'Nother finals appearance?

out of the 4 times Cleveland played Detroit this season, they were only close to 100 once and that was when they scored 97. That was also the only game they were able to beat Detroit in the regular season. They lost by double digits the other 3 games.

Detroit's defense is real good. No team in the East is close to them. I'll be real surprised if Cleveland takes this series to 6.

It's worth pointing out that the one game they won and scored points in was the only game the Cavaliers had Hughes for. Detroit's not going to shoot 70+% from three point land all series long, I'm looking forward to see how crunch time plays out when the deficit isn't as great.

They have the easiest road to it of any team left.

However, if the Spurs and Pistons are playing in the finals again this year, I may very well go blind.

Agreed, that was an incredibly boring finals. Basketball in general seems boring to me when I really don't care about the teams competing.

Football on the other hand, well you can sit me down in front of nearly any game and I'll have a hell of a time.

Knicks May Pursue Gordon

May 15 - The New York Post reports the Knicks and Bulls recently held trade discussions focusing on Ben Gordon. Sources in Chicago and one close to Gordon told the newspaper that the Knicks were interested in acquiring Gordon for, "one of the Knicks elite guards" and a No. 1 pick in next year's draft.

Hilarious.

The Bulls have the option to swap picks with the Knicks next year.

I totally don't see that happening either.

I agree it's not likely to happen. I only posted the rumor because calling any of the Knicks' guards elite is hilarious.

You obviously haven't played NBA Bawlers.

Which on of these so-called "elite guards" haven't we had already? And how many Knicks-picks are we gonna get? They can't seriously be considering Francis (ball hog who does not defend) or Richardson (ditto), can they? Skiles will implode.

The rumor's from the NY Post. Nothing in the Chicago press about it. I'd take it with a grain of salt. Posted for comedy value only.

They also posted the rumor in the "daily quickie" on ESPN page 2, but they quoted NY Post as the source.

Anyone know when the draft lottery is? I would assume soon, but I also don't remember if its during the playoffs or not.

If I recall correctly, they do it during halftime of one of the Finals games...

Technically we already have their #1 pick in next years draft. That's idiotic. I don't necessarily think I'm against trading Gordon, but if its for that I might just abandon Chicago sports completely.

well we'd have to get a big SG in return, so their "elite" guard would probably be QRich. Like you said, we have the right to swap picks with them next year and there's no chance that the Knicks will be better than us next year. I would not trade Gordon for Richardson and another pick in a million years.

I don't mind shopping Gordon...if it's going to land us a star. But I bought a Gordon jersey last year and I'd be pretty pissed if he's gone before his 3rd full year here.

WILD SPECULATION: I saw Michigan State's Paul Davis by Navy Pier yesterday. He was actually going into my girlfriend's building with a dude that looked like he could have been his agent. Is he in town for a workout or something? Could he be someone we're targeting with our second first rounder?

Paxson says in the Trib that there is no interest on the Bulls part, and this is the first he's heard of it.
Sun-Times[/url]"]'It is a total fabrication,'' Paxson said of an item published in the New York Post on Monday that said the Knicks made a ''serious inquiry'' about Gordon. ''I have not spoken to that organization since last October, so the Post has printed something that is false.

''If the Knicks do plan on making an inquiry, they can save themselves a phone call because I'm not interested.''
