Bulls can't take advantage of a travel by Manu and the Spurs promptly rip off 4 straight just as you would expect the champs to do.

Down 89-87 with under 2 minutes left.

Down 91-89 wih 30 seconds left, the Bulls call timeout with the ball...

I really hope they don't screw this up...

This could be a little exciting....

Ben Gordon to the rescue!!! Picks up Capt. Kirk after the missed shot and sends it to OT. Who else?

Posted

Raisin is probably getting it because he's in Cali. At least I'd assume that.

Dagger 3 by Finley after Gordon turned it over. Bulls down 5 with 3:19 left in the extra period.

I just realized I'm getting the game.

what channel? am i getting it?

CSN Chicago or whatever. It's part of the free DirectTV thingy for a week, I think.

And the Bulls are looking awful in OT. :(

Sorry guys:

JonMDavis84 (11:05:10 PM): Navin turns on the game and the Bulls start sucking

This is depressing.

Sweetney and Chandler both have double doubles, Deng with 19 and 9, Gordon pulls his Superman routine at the end and we still can't win.

That's why they're the champs and we're still just the Bulls.

Yeah, but from the box score, it doesn't look like Kirk or Gordon played well offensively. Either of those guys picks it up a notch, and we probably win.

Bulls lose 104-95.

Tough loss, but on the other hand, got to be proud of the effort. Gordon was iffy most of the night, Duhon didn't do that much and the Bulls were still able to hang around. Not a bad loss, not that there's such a thing as a good one. Hopefully we can down the Warriors and Jazz before that stupid circus trip.

Bulls face the Warriors tonight at 8:30 ET at the United Center. We really need this game and the next before that rough circus trip starting next week.

Expected starters for the Bulls:

Duhon (game-time decision due to a right knee contusion)

Hinrich

Nocioni

Songaila

Chandler

For the Warriors:

Baron Davis

Jason Richardson

Mike Dunleavy

Troy Murphy

Adonal Foyle

Why is Nocioni starting over Deng? Deng is the biggest key to this team IMO. He's the guy that has the upside to make up for some of the points Curry took with him.

The same reason why Duhon is starting over Gordon. Skiles.

I have no idea why Deng continues to be benched in favor of Chapu. Andres's intensity would seem to be better fit for a bench player, and he hasn't been playing well lately as it is.

yep i agree with you. Nocioni has also showed me absolutely nothing so far in the first 3 games of the season. You can say I'm wrong, but I don't like the idea of having 2 of your 3 best players on the bench. Like ndistops said, Noc brings intensity, a quality for guys that come off the bench.

This is a game we need. If we lose this, we need to make lineup changes immediately. That being said though, these next 2 games are huge. I'll be fine with 3 wins before going on the circus trip.

I'm a big Bulls, but unfortunately I haven't been able to watch any games (stupid WGN doesn't put many games on their Superstation). How is the lack of a big man affecting the team? I was getting updates against the Spurs and it seemed that the Bulls played well against San Antonio. Did they finally begin to look good Monday night?

they played 4 pretty good quarters. San Antonio only got out to a double digit lead because of very hot shooting from Ginobili. The Bulls were real close on the rebounding end with the Spurs which was real surprising especially when Tyson was out of the game.

The lack of a big man definitely affected them against the Nets...hopefully the Bulls team that played against the Spurs shows up. If that happens, there's no reason we won't beat Golden State by at least 10.
