The inability of the Astros to capitalize is absolutely maddening.

True, but as CUBS fans, we are quite used to this sort of thing, no?

Amen.

These stupid bar shots make me sick.

It's amazingly ironic that the Sox fans' least favorite player coming into September was Joe Crede...and ever since he has been absolutely unstoppable.

Easy to say after the leadoff hit, but do you agree with pulling Backe after 7 innings of shut out ball at 100 pitches?

I think Backe should still be in there.

Rooting against the White Sox this season is like rooting for Ball State football against their out-of-conference opponents.

Well, it's fun to take solace in the little things like Uribe's error last night and AJ and Crede's screw-up here. Even though the Stros can never cash in.

Yeah, and as a Miami alum in your conference, your team needs to show a little something.

you know, I really really hate the white sox.

This too shall pass. And at least a WS win gets the Hot Stove season started sooner...

..of course, with the Cubs, you never know how that will be.

Don't count on it.

Ya know, I'm sure it really hurts......

But if you stick your bat and hands out in the strike zone on a check swing and the ball hits your hands, you do not deserve first base. That is not HBP. That should be unlucky for you.

That goes for Dye and Tavares, even though Dye never got hit in the first place. Get back up there and tough it out.

Ok, if the Astros screw this one up, things are getting thrown.

Now would be a wonderful time for the Ensberglar to stop struggling.
