Batting 9th tonight, Pie went 1 for 4 with a sac fly RBI and a run scored. It looks like he went 1 for 4 with a run scored on Saturday night. His BA is down to around .280.

Pie with 3 groundouts, a popout, and a single (he was later called out for missing a base) tonight. He was batting 9th again.

Always appreciate your updates on the Fall League. An article in one of today's Chicago papers about the Sox web activity made me think of you and doing something like that for the Cubs. The Sox do a podcast every week, including interviews. This seems like a natural for Cub fans who want more than they are getting now. The prospect of actually having a weekly update on the Cubs minor leagues would really appeal to a number of people. Anyway..something to think about.

Are you at NU? I'm an old Medill grad guy.

Pie is definitely not ready for CF in Wrigley. I hope JH realizes this and is willing to let him develop for another 1-2 years.

Yeah, WCAS sernior. I live right across the hall from a couple of Medill guys who cover sports, though.

Felix went 1-3 tonight after the day off. He was replaced in the 8th inning because the game was already out of hand.

Wow his plate discipline sucks, I'm gonna keep praying we don't make the CP mistake all over again.

2 more years in the minors. Anyone notice how hitters who come up REALLY young (like 20) don't improve as much as pitchers who come up REALLY young? Look at Eric Chavez, Pujols (bad example, but you can pencil him in for .330/.430/.580 or something), and so many others.

Let Pie develop in the minors...

Maybe it's because he's about to be moved as part of the Jerome Williams, Felix and Roberto Novoa trade package for Bobby Abreu that I've been salivating about.

I'm not so sure. How's his defense? Hendry may bring him up if he shows he can catch the ball.

It's been a week since Pie's last start. It looks like Licey has been off 3 of the past 4 days, though, but I wonder how much longer he's going to stay out there.
