Yeah, I do care. As much as most White Sox fans are insufferable buffoons, I never hated the Sox franchise or it's players, and I think it's high time Chicago received representation in the World Series, even if it isn't the Cubs.

Plus, a White Sox trip to the World Series will make the Cubs look 2nd rate, which is exactly the kind of pressure that is needed to get something done about the lack of effort on our team and lack of good players coming into this organization.

Hey---if you fans won't buck up and put pressure on the organization (and you DON'T), then it has to come from somewhere or we will never, ever win a World Series.

That's just the bare bones truth.

Maybe if the Cardinals win, it'll light a fire under the Cubs' asses to put a contending team on the field for 2006.

I have came to the conclusion this year that I really don't care about the playoffs.

There's not really that team you can root for as an underdog besides the Padres, who don't have a prayer.

Any of you guys feel the same way?

Not just a Cub fan but a baseball fan, give me bad baseball before good basketball or football.

It didn't last yr, when the Cards may the playoffs, after making winning the division an "EASY" chore.

And I AGREE with Soul, I'm rooting for the Sox, not because they are from Chicago,, but because EVERY WIN, pulls the noose tighter and tighter, every win, makes Dusty Baker (and to a certain degree Hendry) seat a little bit hotter. If the Sox won the World Series, could you imagine the ridicule Baker and Hendry would face heading into the postseason. There would be literally a RIOT.

All I know is...the Cubs organization needs a kick in the butt, even if it's from the "Lightning in the bottle" White Sox.

I enjoy watching good baseball and this is the time when the best play. After watching the Cubs play this year it's nice to see some quality baseball.

Because the umpires of the ALCS are doing just a dandy, quality job.

I don't know why I'm still watching..

After Game 2, I expected the Halos to be getting every make up call in the book and the Sox to be hosed the rest of the series. Instead the umps have been squeezing Angel pitchers and giving the Sox any strike zone they want. Typical White Sox. The umps help them out then decide they haven't done enough.

Holy crap, for the second time in three years, MLB has announced a blackout in the middle of the playoffs. The season is over. I can't believe it.

If it didn't happen when the Cards won last year, why would it if the White Sox win this year? I just don't foresee a riot, literal or figurative, if that happens. I really don't understand that way of thinking.
