Hudson vs. J. Williams (CHC)

I'm pretty sure I read on the Reds website that Randy Keisler will take Luke Hudson's place in the rotation.

I guess so. I was just pointing that out.

Dusty Baker is an anchor dragging us down. Why would you ever pitch to Pena when you could face Harrang? Oh but then I guess the one run we got in the 9th would have tied it.

There's no WC happening this year. Move on to football. It's healthier.

The Jaxx open the Southern League Championship Series tomorrow night

100%

Not only that, we'll be adding Jeff Blauser, George Bell, and Dickie Thon to the Roster. Welcome back fellas, I know it's been a while but we've got a guy who knows your true potential. Your veteren leadership will be invaluable in the 2006 season.

I think this thread can be deleted now.

Please don't, it's my first thread to get so many replies

And anyway, it's good comedic relief.

And boy, Dusty must be trying to make sure we don't accidentily make the playoffs with last nights game. Mitre with people on base in a 1 run game we had to win? Wow...

More wisdom from BP...

"Now that the Cubs' chances for reaching the postseason have been fluctuating around one percent for the past three weeks, Dusty Baker has been finding at-bats for Matt Murton, who's hit .342/.424/.521 in 87 plate appearances. Other Cub left fielders have hit .249/.294/.386 on the year, but even allowing for some regression on Murton's part, it's clear Baker's failure to give him a shot earlier cost the team more than a few games in the standings. Not that his usage of Jose Macias, Neifi Perez, Corey Patterson, et al didn't already nail the coffin lid shut."

BP sure does love Dusty and the boytoys.

Or hockey, the Blackhawks may actually be decent this season...

Pardon my ignorance, but hockey is what?

I wonder what it will be like at the Cubs Convention next year? If they didn't screen questions in the past, they may consider it this year.

While I don't doubt that Hendry will provide a vague, canned answer and Dusty will regail the room with stories of striped bass stealing his girlfriend away, it still wouldn't be a pleasant atmosphere if they were bombarded by tough questions from the crowd.

The Cubs are now 5-1 when Murton starts in LF.

Exactly that is the strategy Hendry and Baker will use....scripted answers and stupid antidotes.
