What makes the Sosa deal look better every day?

With Sosa we would have dropped to 5th place a couple weeks ago instead of potentially tomorrow? :-s

Either way, we're paying the salary this year---either way, it's off the books come October. And either way, this season is a trainwreck. I see little difference nor much advantage that was created by that deal.

Well we'd be EVEN worse with Soso.

It has been a sad fall for Sammy. I'm glad the Cubs traded him, I don't like how he acted at the end of last season, but I will always love Sammy. In his decade or so with the Cubs he did what none of us have ever seen from a Cub. Until someone can prove to me that he was juicing, I'll always love Sammy.

We still haven't received a replacement for Crouthers...

Bedard plz.

After they got done laughing I'd ask for Luis Ramirez whose pitching in low A. Not that they'd give him up but he's the guy I'd want from the O's system.

Ramirez's stats:

Name ------- W- L ERA- G- GS- CG SHO SV-- IP--H -R ER HR BBSO

Luis Ramirez 9- 6 2.46 -27 -26 ----1---- 1- 0--- 157.1 122 50 43 7 53 152

The thing I find interesting about that article is that Jeter has had one of the biggers VORP drops in history. How can that be ESPN told me he was the greatest SS of all time those stats must be wrong.

Don't forget MLB has him down as one of the best all-around players in a recent poll. Jeter might be one of the most over hyped players of all time and he will be one of the greatest players because of the love he receives from the media.

I have heard several talking heads on ESPN say that he is the best SS of all time. Sorry but SS is still more of a defensive position and Jeter is a not in the same league as Ozzie, Cal, ARod, or numerous other SS throughout history of this great game. He is an offensive ss.

What's not fair is that the Orioles will probably base the prospect on the way Sosa performed this year, and not on the potential he had before the year.
