Ramirez hustles to a double.

This is the one thing I like about mlb.tv being so slow --- I can read what happens before it happens....sometimes that sucks...but when it's good, it relieves my anxiety!

If you listen to the game as you're watching it (on WGNRadio and if your around Chicago) you can hear what happens before you see it on the TV.

Does WGN radio stream? Problem with Jersey is, no WGN radio or TV.

They do, but not for Cubs games.

Probably just as well. The Cubs get my blood pressure rolling enough as it is. Ronny only makes it worse!

Lawton sure looked safe to me there...

think how safe he would have been if he was running hard.

looked like he was at the end, but watched the ball out of the box, plus no one argued so they must have felt he was out.

note to Ausmus: don't show up the HP umpire if you want the borderline calls for your pitcher. do it quietly, and make your case.

this bodes well for the rest of the night, IMHO...

I'm here. I just don't have anything to say right now.

I here ya. I am at a point in this season where I am on the fence of packing it up for the season or making the playoff push. Every pitch has me with mixed feelings. I keep thinking how much this team sucks but then we put together a couple hits which gets my hopes up but of course then we give up a run to give the momentum away. I wouldnt mind losing for Busty but I also want to make that push for the postseason. Ah the life of a cubs fan.

Two things so far:

Our highly touted leadoff guy has just hacked at the first pitch TWO at-bats in a row.

Our allegedly reformed CFer looked a lot like the circa-June whiffer in that last at-bat. He swung at another pitch over his head...

I told myself this series will decide it. If we win this series I will believe we have a chance. We lose it's time to call up some kids and play em.
