Dont know if anyone is going to or gonna watch teh Peoria game, but I saw that Webber got called up by the Cardinals. I have heard pretty good things about him as well so far, so if anyone goes I would love to hear their impressions of him. Thank you very much.

Yea he did.. Here

Webber has made a seamless transition to professional ball. Through his first ten pro appearances – nine starts – the 21-year-old has gone 5-2 with a sparkling 1.87 ERA for New Jersey of the Short Season-A Appalachian League. That includes a seven-inning, 10-strikeout performance in a July 28 win against Aberdeen, a game in which he allowed only two hits.

Thanks Jon. I went to sleep really early, thanks to the NyQuil (caught a cold on the flight back home).

What were you doing in Alaska?

Cruise from Vancouver to the Alaskan coast, and then an inland tour with lots of extended family from Chicago. :)

Huh? Since when did I start pitching for Mesa? :P

You'll never make it there in time if you're still home.

So that'll be a late scratch.

And I was beginning to feel bad for you for a moment.

Sorry. It's hard to get to the ballpark when you don't even realize you're on the team.

Did you even know the Cubs drafted you in the 5th round?

Raisin,

I think your team should trade you now. Without much power, that .818 batting average is built off a pretty unsustainable BABIP.

Chiefs win another game against the Swing, getting the Chiefs back to .500 in the second half and 4 games behind the Swing with 2 more games against them this series!

NSBB Correspondent Eric Patterson goes 2-4 with his 12th HR and his 35th SB.

I was out for most of the evening and didn't listen to the game. The Broadcaster for the Chiefs, Nathan Baliva, would be a good person to e-mail and ask for the info that stats can't provide (And, Nathan is a Cards fan as well). His e-mail is in the broadcast links thread at the top of the Minor League Forum.

To add to that, half of my basehits are IF singles to third or short. :o

A Hagerty sighting. So what happened to him? I thought he just had blister problems in the Marlins camp...? Has he had serious arm trouble this year? Has he lost his velocity? He seems on the verge of obscurity.
