Corey is going to get demolished by this crowd at the bottom of the inning if he looks bad.

Seriously demolished.

Are the fans still there?

Fortunately he won't be batting last in the inning.

Prior gave up 3 runs in 7 innings. The thrice rebuilt bullpen has given up 4 in 1 2/3 innings.

Not meant to start a lengthy discussion, but that's why I wasn't too upset at Ohman being brought in. The stupidity of Wood coming out of the pen hurts because he can't be used two straight days, and Williamson really shouldn't pitch but two games a week. That really leaves Novoa, and I wouldn't want him facing the Reds' lefties. But, the whole thing known as the Cubs just simply stinks right now. From Hendry on down, the only ones I'd be sad to see go, would be Lee, Ramirez, Prior, Zambrano and Walker.

sad/funny thing is that I don't believe the team will be impoved in the offseason.

I am really fearing that not only will Dusty be back next year, but Macias will still be here, Neifi will still be here, Burtnitz in right, and no real improvements anywhere... and a payroll of 75mil, showing the fans that the Tribune and the Cubs don't care about winning.

i doubt baker will be fired either. but remeber the team chemistry is good so i bet they're having fun in the dugout.

Too bad there's no boom box to take it all out on this year. Maybe Dusty's Chevy could use a little body work...

I would think the fans would be going off the entire bottom of the 9th

They're not even booing Corey

Sadly, I know if I were there, I'd be booing heartily.

just got home, cant say that i've missed much. Another bad day for the offense, not scoring in key situations and the bullpen sucked it up too. Are we ever going to win another game?

I'll puke if that happens.

I've reached the point all I care to see back are Lee, Prior, and Z... although if they shelved Wood now and he really was healthy by the beginning of next year, I'd like to see him play well again...

The Cubs have now recorded 3 separate losing streaks of 7 games or more this season. Draw your own conclusions. I've drawn mine.

not to mention we've only had 1 winning streak i think of 7 games in the whole Dusty Baker era in Chicago. I've drawn my conclusion for that as well.

Maybe Ramirez as well. Although right now I'm not so sure.

I've drawn mine too, but unfortunately we will get to hear how it's injuries and unsupportive fans who are to blame.
