I dont think its a shame. Considering how bad our offense has been 3runs should've been good enough for him. He has been giving up wayy too many homers lately anyways.

 

3 runs over 7 is better than average, but not great.

That's not a good enough excuse. Our bullpen has been used up. Righties aren't hitting a thousand against him. I'm listening on the radio, but based on the way our bullpen has been I bet he missed location. And, once again, I wish our starters would realize it is permitted in major league baseball to pitch a complete game. Yes, that means you may have to give up gunning for double digit strikeouts, but going 9IP with four K's and a "W" would be good enough.

Seriously, this has been one of the worst stretches of baseball I recall seeing since.... well, the end of last season I guess :-(. We either get pitching with no hitting or hitting with no pitching - we've had a guy starting in CF who would likely not be picked up by any team in MLB if he were DFA'd, an "oft" injured starter tossing an inning here and there in the bullpen, a starting catcher who has trouble catching the throwing the ball etc....

 

If it weren't so disappointing it would humorous - I'm sure it is to the rest of the league.

Eh, I'm realistic enough to know my Demons are going to get destroyed. With Diener gone, and now Mejia probably gone (shhhh, you didn't hear that from me), it's a rebuilding year for DePaul. And since last year was also a rebuilding year, I guess we're rebuilding what we rebuilt.
