Lawton vs. lefties (as a Pirate)

.236/.322/.358

and he's 0-1 as a Cub versus lefties.

Murton vs. lefties

.550/.625/.600

I definately bring in Murton.

with Novoa the gas can in, maybe we won't see Wagner.

At least he's better than Alfonseca.

Yes, I can't believe that's the only positive I can think of right now.

Alf is pitching decently this year. At least he was last week when I saw him...

At least we scored 4 runs, it's been awhile since we've done that (besides the garbage time blowout runs against AZ, I think the last game vs. STL was the last 4+ runs).

How'd the 4 runs for the Phillies score in the 1st? Do I want to know?

2 singles, walk, Abreu with a grand slam (his first HR since ASB.)

Do you ever shut up? I mean seriously.

Please watch the personal attacks.

I'm sorry if you don't like the truth I speak. I'm not going optimistic, when the situation calls for some pessimism.

The truth of the matter, is Burnitz is hovering around .260, and has had a ton of chances batting around the likes of Aram/Lee.

I agree with no personal attacks. But, OHCF, you seem to be a bit of a pessimist and that was what Badger was trying to say..IMO. It should have been said in a different manner though.

Sorry, I lost it. I couldn't handle another innacurate, plain wrong, negative post. I blew my gasket. If we could ignore posters on here I would have done that instead. My apologies.

Dammit. Why do guys always break out of a slump against the Cubs?

Anybody know when pitchers and catchers report to Mesa?

Is it time to start a countdown to next years spring training?

Good job bums. Way to lose 5 of 7.

I think we should all pile on them and say they suck. At least they kept winning when the game threads were started with negativity.

But yeah, there is no way this team catches Houston. I don't care how many games we have left against them, this team can't beat the teams it needs to beat. It will NOT make the playoffs.

We are a 9th inning come back and a lack of situational hitting by the Phillies in game 1 from another 7 game losing streak. Good job guys

I'm pretty much done with this team. It's not that I won't follow their games or anything, but they've just done nothing all year to show they have the talent to compete for the post season, and I'm getting tired of stressing out over them.

I'll still follow them, but only for sheer morbid entertainment only.

Well, that was another pathetic showing...

Why are you surprised? This is a pathetic excuse for a team.

I saw some good things today. The pen did a nice job. Macias had a good game as did Perez. Baker let Lawton and Walker hit against Wagner which hopefully will get them some confidence for the rest of the year.
