Dempster has balls of steel. Why is Burnitz stil behind Lee? it should be ARam, especialy now that they are walking Lee a lot. Baker needs to make that move. Good game. Great win!

Anyone up in the pen? Why in Dempster still in there if this is clearly not his day?

5 words, in no particular order.

Is. Baker. Idiot. Dusty. An.

Do you really have to ask that?

That was freakin' ridiculous. Perhaps if this team had a productive offense, or a manager that could set a lineup properly, we wouldn't have to sweat out games like this.

No. Didn't need to ask... I know the answer, but just needed to confirm this wasn't a nightmare.

Mets just tied the game against the Brewers in the 7th. There's a man on 2nd with 2 outs. 7-7.

It ended with a win, but there is no excuse for Dusty not getting someone up as soon as Dempster walked his second batter. None.

I disagree 100 percent. There almost NO managers that will pull their closer. What kind of message of confidence does that send him? All Closers will blow games, it just happens. You can't have someone ready at the first sign of trouble.

I bet that means an enormous amount to Dempster.

I can't believe the number of you that would pull your closer who has been lights out pretty much at his first sign of trouble.

Dusty is dumb, but not for this reason.

Am I the only one who think that?

Novoa was throwing. Brenley made a good point, we were going to win or lose with Dempster. You dont want to bring the young guy into that mess with no margin for error.

He's your closer. For bettter or worse.

I'm smoking cigarettes like it's my job right now.

I hate smoking, but I am forced to secondhand smoke about 2 packs/day. I ride around with this old dude at work, and he smokes constantly. Doesn't even roll his window down. He just flicks his ashes in the floor of the truck.

True! That was Demp's game. Dusty had to let him get out of it.

A win is a win - and Dempster needs to get experience in every possible situation as a closer. He's now had his Mitch Williams experience. Let's hope it doesn't happen again. But.....Oy!.....it will, we know it will.

Nope. I agree with you there. Schilling had trouble today aganist the Royals, yet Francona didn't pull him. He let him pitch through it.
