Yes because the only thing you look at when acquiring a player are his stats in that current year.

I'm really liking Murton. Nice to see him take a walk so that at the very least, Maddux won't have to lead off next inning.

Murton did his job as a number eight hitter with two out. He got on base and allowed the pitcher to bat. This allows us to begin the 3rd with the top of the order again.

 

37 pitches for Milton through two.
