Good teams like the Yankees win 8 of 9 all the time.

Since when are the Yankees good? You forgot to bring up the little fact that the Yankees get beat 5 out of 6 quite a bit too.

I'd rather see the Yankees beat 6 out of 6.

Meh. This year Gerut has been a left handed version of Hairston, so I'm not opposed to him leading off and giveing Jr. a day off. It could hurt our defense but the offense should be about the same.

Burnitz in CENTER??? That's odd. But odd is not unusual for Dusty Baker, who I am tuning out during the pre-game show right now.

Not lately. The AL East is all knotted up among Boston, Baltimore, and New York, with the Yankee$ on top.

In case you haven't noticed, everyone's been negative recently, and we've won 8 of 9, so we decided to keep being negative.

According to Dusty, Hairston is sitting tonight because he's not swinging great right now, but he'll be back in there tomorrow.

Once again, Murton went 4 for 5 the other night and now gets to spend his 2nd night in a row on the bench. Cedeno hasn't been seen anywhere. Why have these guys up on the big club if all they're going to do is get splinters in their butts?

Rookies much watch learn and emulate worse players by sitting on the bench, in order to be good enough to be in the lineup.

Cedeno and Murton can ONLY play against Lefty's.

Ronny Cedeno

July 15 = 1-1

July 16 = 2-3

July 17 = DNP

July 18 = DNP

July 19 = DNP

total = 3-4

July 20 = not in lineup

Neifi Perez

July 15 = 2-3

July 16 = 0-1

July 17 = 1-4

July 18 = 1-5

July 19 = 1-5

total = 5-18

July 20 = starting

Preaching to the choir, dude. The odd hit and his glove are what keeps Perez in the starting lineup, and of course he's one of Dusty's boys. Count your blessings - it could be Rich Aurilia or Enrique Wilson out there everyday.

Cool. 8) How is Bellhorn progressing? He wasn't the OBP machine of last season, and now he's on the DL.

I think Holly is a staple for Dusty against RHP, no matter how bad he stinks. Check the lineup - lefty row.

He's been pretty awful for Boston this year and now he's on the DL. Boston just went out and got Tony Graffanino from the Royals, so it's pretty much up in the air as what will happen to Bellhorn when he comes off the DL. They also went out and got Alex Cora.

Wow. 10 pages and the game hasn't even started yet.

That's what I thought when I first checked in. Let's make it 11. 8)

Leave it to Dusty to come up with the jacked up lineups.

Anyone taking bets on whether there's a Remlinger sighting with a left-handed bat? :D
