BYU faceplanting after last week was so predictable it was one of those times I wish I bet on sports sometimes. It's practically a tradition for a team to pick up a 'historic' win over Notre Dame and then take a stupid loss at the first opportunity.

Feels like 2025 redux right now.

The annual "SEC IS BETTER NO IT'S BIG TEN MORE BETTER" argument, I kinda gotta give it to the SEC this year. The Big Ten is mostly hot ass

Frankly I'm not convinced anyone is actually capital G good except possibly Georgia (I'm willing to shrug off Auburn as a fluke if they resume wrecking shop from here) and Miami (ditto, but with FSU)

I'd probably put Ohio State in that category as well if Sayin wasn't out for the season.

Oregon effectively had their season ended today ( 3rd loss ) vs Illinois.

As I recall they were a trendy pick before the season to win it all this year.

I feel like everytime a school enters the Big10, they look like they will walk away with the conference. Penn State, Nebraska, PAC 10 schools. Unfortunately, just like us, they have to run the gauntlet against some strong teams and over 100 years of rivalries to thrown a constant challenge. They never do that well the first few years it seams.

Oregon went 13-1 in 2024, their first year in the Big 10, losing only to Ohio St in the playoffs. Then last year they went 13-2, losing twice to Indiana, while making the CFP semifinals. So the only teams Oregon lost to those seasons won national titles.

Oregon with Moore at QB is in that category.  Dylan Raiola is a big step down, he's not as good as everybody says, Illinois' freshman 3 star nobody outplayed him last night.

Forgot about that, still believe with Moore there's a playoff quality team, not NC good, good nonetheless.

Right, to established Big Ten teams. Thats my point

Penn state did well their first year too, but then again they were hiding child rape. No relation to the Oregon situation, but still

I guess I don't really understand your point. You said "They never do that well the first few years it seams" yet Oregon and evidently Penn St both did well right off the bat.

Not that they won’t do well or have a good season, it’s that they won’t own the conference. I’ve heard the talking heads proclaim that when Penn S, Oregon and Nebraska all joined. They may have a good season or two but fail to repeat it or never reach their former glory of outclassing everyone else year in and year out.  It’s just my view on how hard it is to win the Big Ten consistently, I feel like the outside view is that the big ten is soft and ripe for the taking
