*Sigh*

I know its an opportunistic time to say it, but I'd rather still have Farnsworth.

wow and Brenly saying the same things we are about Lee having more RBI's if he had guys ahead of him with an OBP over .300.

In the Brewers series, Lee had two plate appearances with runners on base.

In the White Sox/Tigers series, Frank Thomas had PA's with runners on base.

Lee's not going to produce every time, but I'd rather give him 8 chances than 2. Putting our worst two OBP guys in front of Lee is moronic.

I was almost a little disapointed that Novoa didn't walk in a run so I could use the "You can't walk across the plate" quote.

Farnsworth has been maddeningly inconsistent, but this season he's been far better than any of our relievers. Baseball Prospectus has his VORP at 12.2. Dempster is the highest rated Cub reliever at 8.0.

Kent Mercker is at 8.7, by the way.

Baseball malpractice is what it is. With all due respect to people that say Dusty is even an average manager, his continued lineups of this nature say otherwise. It may be one small aspect of the game, but it is a hugely significant one. He has wasted three months of the most potent bat in the league. Does that sound like something an average manager would do?

so it would be the equivalent of Bobby Knight having Scott May play point guard? Yeah that's average.

Mercker is easily the best pitcher on that Cincinnati staff.

Patterson just did the hardest part of the cycle, the triple. He's a home run and a double away from the cycle. GO C-PATT!!

I have no idea what you are trying to say here.

Yeah, this game is going to have to go about 35 innings before that happens.
