You guys are forgetting one big number. 21 pts. In the 4th. Def did nothing.

Let's not underplay giving up 21 points in 9 minutes in the 4th quarter

1) Caleb was disappointing as hell after the first drive and I'm having severe doubts he has the consistency to be an NFL QB

2) Our RBs are awful

3) Santos has no business being employed in the NFL

4) The refs blow

This has all the feelings of a 35-24 Vikings win where you come away feeling better about the offense than the defense.

I mean...kinda?

My thoughts:

- Penalties killed them all night.

- Caleb was on early, then high on almost everything in the 2nd half.

- Once the DL couldn't get pressure with the front 4, the injured back 7 showed its weakness. Tackling on the 2nd level wasn't there, coverage on Jefferson wasn't there, couldn't stop the run, gave JJ too much time.

- The play call on the TD to Odunze in the 4th was the best of the night, I think.

For 3 quarters of the game, yes he was very bad.

He led the team on multiple drives in the 4th quarter on the road on MNF in his first game. He did pretty darn well!

Against the bears defense. Which is awful. And with a bears offense that just kept giving him the ball back.

I am very afraid that Caleb doesn’t have it. I want him to, but the more I see of him the more nervous I get. You just don’t get a long leash anymore these days My only consolation is that I think the Bears know they have a backup who might be better.

I don’t see how he becomes a great QB.  He doesn’t see the field well at all.  His accuracy sucks.  He’s Justin Fields part 2.

Can you imagine Caleb Williams surgically guiding his team down the field to win games?  Me either.

This most disappointing thing to me was that this looked just like several of the losses under Eberflus.

Nah, most disappointing Eberflus losses were attempted comebacks that came up short. The one similarity was the loss to the broncos in 2023.

I don’t see any Fields in his game. He’s a different version of disappointing

Having 3 of your top 4 defensive starters out hurts. But Caleb got outplayed too and this game was very concerning because he is still inaccurate, still tries to do too much, and still can’t make the right quick or deep read.
