I don't get benching Shaw after a day off against a potential meatballer but I like the other tweaks.

If they go through all five pitchers in a 4 day (5 game) series, then they'll need to bullpen it for the first game of the Angels series, yeah? Or do we assume that one of Taillon/Rea starts vs. the Brewers and the other vs. the Angels?

Yeah I think Brown (or whoever from Iowa) has to start either the Sunday before against the Pirates or the Friday after against the Angels.

Carter Hawkins was just on 670 and said there just wasn’t that much really good starting pitching available this year and that’s the reason why the Cubs didn’t trade for any

I would love to see him get his numbers up to average, cause he really would have to go off these final 6 weeks

Thanks! It’s ridiculously hot here, but the venue is awesome, and there are a ton of international teams. Regardless of the outcome for his team, it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity, and we’ll cherish the memory forever.

I can understand why people hate on St. Louis pizza but I grew up with it. Provel is fantastic. Everything else you said is on the money though.

I didn't realize the Padres are only 2 games behind the Dodgers.. that would be so horsefeathered if the Cubs have to play the Dodgers in a potential wildcard.  Talk about a tough matchup right out of the gate
