Incase anybody cares what Dom has to say. Never know if he has legit info or not, but I do know him and Ian Happ are friends so who knows

There might be a new meaning to “Cub killer” soon.

I'd bet on on 2 starters, pushing Horton, Brown, and Rea to the pen (rotation is Boyd, Shota, Taillon, 2 new guys) and one RH hitting utility player that can spell the OF and 1B.  That gives you a lot more velocity in the pen once Horton and Brown are there and gives you some playoff options for length as well.

Passan said he'd be surprised if Suarez doesn't end up with the Cubs or Mariners

If they got Suarez (not arguing for or against it here; personally I feel like pitching is priority numbers 1, 2, and 3), what might the go-to lineup against LHPs look like? Is there an optimal lineup that keeps all of Shaw, Seiya, and Suarez in there? Seiya to LF and Suarez at DH makes sense, but they’ve clearly been more inclined to shield Busch from lefties than any of the regular OFs.

I hadn't really thought of that but I like it a lot.  Though I don't know how often it'd actually get used.  Happ's a lot weaker against lefties than righties but not weak enough to justify a benching.

I would guess the lineup vs. lefties would look something like this?

Hoerner / Tucker/ Seiya

PCA / Suarez / Swanson

Happ / Turner / Kelly

I'd also expect that same 2-5 vs. righties.  Trueblood talked in an article this week about the vulnerability the lineup has to lefty relievers coming in to get PCA.  That Seiya/Tucker/Suarez sandwich would really help address that issue.
